30/6/2006 12:31 | Multiple directors share purchases today and a sale and lease back transaction to ease the debt burden. All good news. I have topped up. Need 30% shareholding from Principle capital to trigger a bid or a statement of intentions. | ![]() u813061
29/6/2006 23:25 | Now a lot more. Thjere is something BIG afoot. I can't believe the market has missed this. We should soon start to see some speculative buying as a takeover seems highly likely. Andy "13. Total percentage holding of issued class following this notification (any treasury shares held by the listed company should not be taken into account when calculating percentage) 22.22%" | ![]() andysand
27/6/2006 18:05 | Principle Capital Partners holding is now 19.84%, and rising rapidly. Anyone know at what point things start to get really interesting ? (Apart from the obvious 50%+ ) | ![]() yaesu
24/6/2006 17:38 | 09.06.06: +2.75, (139.5) an article in the Guardian reports: Nord Anglia Education rose 11.75p to 136.75p after house broker Investec Securities forecast profits of GBP9m from the overseas business in 2008, up from GBP5m. The broker reckons this be conservative if Nord Anglia manages to achieve the same profit per pupil from proposed new schools as it does from existing ones, taking overseas profits alone to around GBP24m within two years. from the excellent sharecrazy | ![]() u813061
24/6/2006 09:20 | There have been a couple of articles this week. This from citywire......... "Shares in Alliance Pharma and Nord Anglia finished higher on Friday following revelations of shrewd interest." I can't quote the full article as I don't subscribe to citywire. However, the article refers to Bryan Myerson AKA Pricipal Capital Holdings. They are active in the companies that they buy and usually force takeovers or major corparate activity to quickly enhance the share price. We will see what happens:) Andy | ![]() andysand
15/6/2006 16:33 | 25% equal holding for all participants. The contracts are worth 50p a share each (i.e. £ 1 if both are won) in my opinion. Bid rumours continue to circulate. | ![]() u813061
12/6/2006 11:15 | As you have no doubt discovered daza, predicting a one day share price move is a pretty fruitless exercise. However, patience will reward. It has so far....... Andy | ![]() andysand
11/6/2006 01:15 | bullish intraday move expect the same monday. | daza75
09/6/2006 15:10 | Thnx - wonder what Nae's share is in both consortia. | ![]() robbie12
09/6/2006 12:02 | Robbie, here is the link. The consortium is called Metrix. There are two packages being bid on. Metrix is the only consortium to bid on both packages. Metrix is down to the final shortlist of two for each package. | ![]() u813061
09/6/2006 11:56 | MORE BIG BUYS SHOWING! | ![]() daza70
09/6/2006 06:32 | Thnx. Didn't even know hey had anything to do with defence training. New area? | ![]() robbie12
08/6/2006 21:39 | Shares went up because Qinetiq, a partner with Nord Anglia, is very confident about winning the £ 10 billion defence training contract (see the Daily Mail). | ![]() u813061
08/6/2006 19:10 | Looking very interesting over the last few days! Seems to be some big backing with this takeover rumour this time! Onwards and upwards! | daza75
08/6/2006 12:11 | I think they read my valuation above. EPS for 2007 is forecast to be 18p. This is still a bargain. | ![]() u813061
08/6/2006 10:59 | takeover rumour buy now | ![]() daza70
08/6/2006 09:55 | I find it pretty astonishing that any share is up today. There is news afoot in my opinion and this is probably insider buying. Just a wild guess of course... Andy | ![]() andysand
08/6/2006 08:58 | My valuation of Nord Anglia is as follws :- Nurseries 75% of net assets £ 35 m International Schools 2006 PBIT = £ 4 m tax at 30% = £ 2.8 m multiply by p/e ratio of 15 = £ 42 m Learning Services 2006 PBIT = £ 5.5 m tax at 30 % = £ 3.9 m multilpy by p/e ratio iof 15 = £ 58 m Total = £ 135 m Net debt is £ 44 m. Pension deficit is £ 7 m. Closing the head office and making the staff redudant (including board) £ 4m. Total Liabilities £ 55 m Value of equity is £ 80 m. Number of shares in issue is 38 m. Target share price £ 2.10 No wonder the institutions are buying. Nurseries cannot be valued on a p/e ratio due to their absence of profits. 75% of net asset value would be around what you would get if you sold each nursery off one by one. Freehold sites so they will have value. | ![]() u813061
07/6/2006 15:36 | Lovely jubbly. Order for 250,000 at 123p. Huge buyer in the market. | ![]() robbie12
07/6/2006 14:12 | So what's going on here? This has held up really well during the recent market falls and now seems to be reaching fresh highs for 2006. | poorbookie
07/6/2006 11:53 | Up 5% today. Lots of big contracts are being bid on both in the UK and overseas, especially the defence training review contract here in the UK. | ![]() u813061
05/6/2006 13:19 | Check out the interim results presentation. Share price moving up nicely. Keep buying up to £1.50 (net asset value). | ![]() u813061
02/6/2006 10:02 | Gone very quiet on here - wonder if Investors chronicle had anything to say on this - though frankly I couldn't care what they say. | ![]() robbie12
27/5/2006 17:04 | Thanks all - on my hols but nice to see 2 positive comments. | ![]() robbie12 |
