08/2/2014 14:15 | Thanks Alter Ego, that's very helpful! | nil desperandum
08/2/2014 13:27 | Nil D - I can guarantee that ST have reclaimed tax for me. This is a copy of my ISA account statement entry. The format might not be good but you can see it is a tax reclaim for MCKS. ST are telling you porkies or at least the person telling you they don't doesn't know what they are talking about. 25/02/13 10:43 TAX REC-ISA 05/02/13 Receipt TAX RECLAIM ISA Dividend credit- Mckay Sec urities Ordinary 20p05/02/13 | alter ego
08/2/2014 07:11 | Thanks Stilton, great to know! | nil desperandum
07/2/2014 20:06 | I had this issue with ST re claiming tax back in ISA. They denied they would do it 'it says so in our T&Cs'. Sent a strong worded email, no reply but the tax appeared not long after. | stilton
07/2/2014 19:38 | Alter Ego: ST are still denying that they do claim back withholding tax on MCKS... unbelievable really. Any chance I could quote you, or perhaps you could send them a message querying the same to confirm that you will get a refund in about a month? This must affect quite a few people I'd have thought... yet they are adamant that they don't do it... | nil desperandum
07/2/2014 10:00 | Tipped in yesterdays Shares Magazine. Some good buying ahead of the special dividend now. | shauney2
31/1/2014 16:58 | Thanks Alter Ego .... I'll hit them with that info and see what they say ... !!! | nil desperandum
31/1/2014 16:31 | i think they just need to fill in the nominee mandate that allows them to get the payment gross if held in an isa pot. there may not be many holders in the pot so they may not know about the gross eligibility and if you tell them to do it they should oblige. | the monkster
31/1/2014 16:30 | yes, it was Selftrade. When I had the first net div I gave them chapter and verse and was politely told they already knew what to do and would do it. Perhaps you need to rattle their cage a bit as I can't think why you wouldn't be entitled to same unless you live somewhere other than UK? | alter ego
31/1/2014 16:27 | Was that MCKS with SelfTrade? In which case great I'm happy to wait ... so why the hell have they told me 'sorry, but ...'?!!! | nil desperandum
31/1/2014 16:16 | MCKS (McKay Securities). Received a div less tax on 10 Jan last year and tax refund on 25 Feb. Received net div on 2 Aug last and tax refund on 12/8. Latest div paid recently but no refund showing as yet. From NRR website a useful note on how it works www.nrr.co.uk/wp-con | alter ego
31/1/2014 16:07 | Oh, bear in mind that some REITs declare divis which are NOT PIDs - it's just the PIDs which have the 20% withholding tax. | nil desperandum
31/1/2014 16:02 | Alter Ego - Interesting ... could you name a specific holding and PID where this has happened so I can quote it at them please? | nil desperandum
31/1/2014 15:53 | My experience of Selftrade is that they do reclaim tax automatically on other REITs I hold. Not held NRR long enough in an ISA to know if they do on this one too. | alter ego
31/1/2014 15:24 | 20% withholding tax of PIDs ... your provider needs to register to avoid if in a tax shelter. Selftrade doesn't so I have just this problem .... HL does. At the very least you lose your 20% in the tax shelter (even if you claim back you won't be able to put it back in), and at worst you may not be able to reclaim ... I'm working on that one! | nil desperandum
31/1/2014 15:20 | I think you will find that as NRR is a REIT, tax is deducted from the dividend but can be claimed back in a SIPP or ISA. My broker does this in an ISA without having to be asked but you need to check with yours. | alter ego
31/1/2014 15:11 | I hold NRR in my SIPP - does anyone know why I'm only receiving 80% of the stated dividend? ie dividend delared as 6p, but only paid as 4.8p. Thanks in advance! | garbetklb
31/1/2014 09:40 | If divi is 6p I, 10p F and 10p S, then 26p will yield me 12%. Happy Days | orchestralis
30/1/2014 16:05 | Payment tomorrow for the last dividend.Imagine a few will be rolling that into the special dividend in February. | shauney2
06/1/2014 09:27 | I bought in at 2.19 last year so yielding 7.3% on 16p divi. So happy with that and the capital increase is a bonus providing a margin of safety to my capital. | orchestralis
06/1/2014 09:12 | Midas Also they go ex dividend this week for 6p. | shauney2
06/1/2014 09:03 | Did the MOS give any numbers? | orchestralis
06/1/2014 08:54 | Tipped in mail on sunday? | valustar1
06/1/2014 08:52 | nice rise this morning. the rise continues. | orchestralis |
