Sounds a bit dubious. If the contract is generates less savings than their alternative options, then they should not have recommended a preferred bidder and simply abandoned/halted the competition earlier.

Consolidating a wee bit, stop moved to 250.0, sticking with it interim 30/01, interim divi 06/02.

Incredible two weeks for Mitie. Wish I could say I was long from 239.0 sadly not, only managed to scalp + 14 on the spreads, oh me of little faith. Long from yesterday @ 259.3 trading statement 30/01,interim divi 06/02. Looking at the chart have to think it's due to pull back but have been saying that for the last two weeks :O) Initial target 280.0

I also understand that (like me) they're pretty strong on the sector generally, believing in the resilience against euro problems and defensive nature of the model.

P.S. There's a Telegraph article out there somewhere too, but it contains 2 in-acccuracies that I can see from memory alone!.. so I haven't posted a link.

Closed 2nd half of initial spread bet @256.5 + 19.5

Moved stop on top up to 249.0 to lock in +10

I have to admit I am a little disappointed with the interim dividend, I was expecting 4.9p per share.

Looks very good.

Cash generation is weighted to second half and also looks positive as compared to 2010. (For a minute there I thought we had a problem - but all is well).

I bought back a few at 242.23p this morning. Seemes to be support at 241p or so.
