Interesting article leecoyote, the only problem as I see it is that LCG does not appear to be an attractive investment in it's own right (as a business I mean). The reason as far as I can see for the price to be so low is that they are effectively building a new business pretty much from scratch. Turnover is now so low that it will have to increase substantially before the shares are actually worth anything, cash or not. It is also highly likely that the cash balance has decreased a lot further.

Personally I don't intend to bother with these again at the moment.

Thinking about it more I think this guy's reasoning is fundamentally wrong.

Final Results 25-Apr-2016 - all hinges on the placing & results i.e. whether the strategic turnaround program is actually working or not - weekly view here - we want to see subscriber numbers up - not just converting the old client base to the new platform

Long suffering share price this - however im testing the new platform and yes - its much better than the old one which was about 5yrs past its sell by date - IG still has the most mature web platform with the broadest overall offering - plus they have additional add ons such as L2 Dealer level2, ProRealtime Charts, share broking.

BUT... the new LCG web platform is v good - isn't buggy - surprisingly is actually superior in a few areas such as fast limit orders, drawing features, Heikin Ashi charts, clean multi chart layout, speed, and very good for scalping - it will be a big hit with scalpers. The best trailing stop loss features. Company staff seem genuinely invigorated by this successful make over & the acquisition of Brenda Kelly to raise profile. It comes down to client on boarding rates & retention - this great new platform as part of a wider campaign will definitely enable them to improve both.



If mgmt start promoting it hard - a potential turn around point here? I think this is a come back story.

I'm no expert but that 17m may cover the costs this year leaving a small pot for growth / continued marketing. They need more cash to push forwardI may sell at a big loss here, progress is too slow they are like a start up again

I have spoken to Brenda Kelly again and she told me that a statement is expected this week as I understood it.
Although understandably she was limited to what she could say as a statement is imminent.I did ask her if the outgoing chief operating officer was sacked. She said no he left on extremely good terms having accomplished a thorough job and put into place a very good platform. She also said they were in the end stage of restructuring and were looking forward to marketing what she believed to be an extremely good product.

I had a few of these but sold out for a small loss a good while ago and I'm delighted that I did. Personally I don't really trust that Sabet guy, especially after he did a very pricey related party deal with one of his own companies.

Since there has been no marketing of the company for some time and as I understand it they need to constantly churn their customers as they tend to run out of money business appears top have dropped off a cliff so they are effectively starting from scratch.

The last set of results were awful and they are likely to lose money for some time I would have thought, as they ramp up marketing costs will increase and business takes time to build so revenue will not grow quickly enough to counteract it.

Don't think i'll be buying back in in a hurry, even at these prices.

I myself have contacted LCG recently by phone and asked to speak to somebody in their investor relations department. I left my phone number and name and within half an hour was contacted back by Brenda Kelly Head Analyst. She confirmed that they were in completing a restructuring phase and websites were in the process of being updated and she was hopeful of some green shoots as a result of the restructuring. I will contact her again tomorrow to see if there is any news to be released.

Next news release is key for me. We should expect positive progress on the initiatives as stated in the Sept report. Silence may be the problem here, when would we be due a trading update ?

Its hard to understand the intent here. Market Cap is substantially below the stated 'cash' position in the last RNS. Share value has dropped considerably. But the leadership stay silent; no news on progress of the supposed re-branding and opening up new markets? no news on current direction. Will the company be taken off the open market? What is the 'New Advisor' (RNS 31st Dec) advising?

Things have gone down a spiral after the new management took over with LCG losing money hand over fist. They have terminated all affiliates in desperation so that in the short-term revenues will be seen temporarily better before the final crash (?). One has to question where all this money is going? I hear the new CEO is highly questionable and fires employees at a whim.

Warning be careful if you are trading FX PAIR EURUSD with this firm as on October 2nd 2015 at 13:30:01 when the payroll numbers came out the tight spread usually 1 pip they claim widened to over 100 pips and wipped out a lot of traders accounts
