02/9/2020 14:23 | I think the BBC u turn on the Last Night may prove to be a hollow victory. Without an audience joining in with gusto, it won't and can't be anything like a normal Last Night. This was not a good issue to make a stand on. | grahamite2
02/9/2020 14:15 | Post of the day lefrene. Boris is actually doing a lot of good. | grahamite2
02/9/2020 14:11 | Classic Poikka. One wonders if someone has just saved their head from rolling? Boris has got rid of Sedwill and stopped the odious Bercow from getting a peerage, perhaps he has plenty of sharp knives left to take to some of the others engaged in undermining the national wellbeing? | lefrene
02/9/2020 14:08 | When the going was good should have disposed of Scottish Widows...return money to shareholders and reduce shares in issue...BOD wants to keep businesses together so that they can command higher remuneration packages... Crux of the Lloyds investment case is whether they need an equity raise to shore up the balance sheet. | diku
02/9/2020 14:04 | I think there is huge difference between songs at some event and the effect on business and lives in Manchester! The government are supposed to have access to all the top advice. Now it is just that scum of all knowledge: Scummings. Get a grip! | minerve 2
02/9/2020 14:01 | Typical Biased Broadcasting Corporation, a 'U-turn' by the Government, but a 'reversal' by the BBC! "The BBC has REVERSED its decision not to have Rule, Britannia! and Land of Hope and Glory sung at the Last Night of the Proms." My capitals. But, on the same BBC Online page: "Parts of Great Manchester will not have lockdown restrictions eased as planned following a government U-turn." | poikka
02/9/2020 14:01 | The current share price action is indicative of something afoot and as it seems to be the whole sector I wonder if a No Deal is now being bet on by the Hedge Fund Scum! | gbh2
02/9/2020 13:52 | Those that like being vassals are welcome to it! | grahamite2

02/9/2020 13:41 | Boris is a complete fraud, the brexit knuckle draggers have been peddling drivel to the masses poor idiots for years now, regardless of deal the U.K. will be worse off than it was in a trading block it spent 40 years helping to build, the currency will remain trashed and our UK productivity is appalling so there is no way anything is going to really improve. Basket case self harming UK actually votes to be poorer, dont give me any of the taking back control drivel that slimeball Farage is always spouting either. No brexit dividend I am afraid and probably not much of one from LLoyds going forward either. UK is toast, stick to investing in the S&P and use U.K. for shorting and trading. Ftse below where it was 20 years years ago. Just appalling. Time to bail out. Interesting most of the brexiters like Jim Ratcliff have done the rats/sinking ship, gone to Monaco and building his new LR in France not Wales now. Says it all. | porsche1945
02/9/2020 13:17 | Not as nice as my Honda Jazz. | mikemichael2
02/9/2020 12:59 | Hope you have an 'F' type Alp, beautiful looking car. | excell1
02/9/2020 12:12 | I will stick with my JLR cars. No repairs yet this year! Someone on here has to buy British, or as close as you can get. | alphorn
02/9/2020 11:13 | lefrene Too right. I guess you have tried to sell a car, no? My Mercedes was purchased using PCP for various reasons, one of them being that such a contract effectively caps the maximum level of depreciation you will suffer. Handy when the politically correct and virtue signallers are taking a good cause such as emmissions and climate change and using an ignorant wide brush to paint us all with: it is a 3 litre V6 diesel. It seems the PCP contract comes in handy too when the world is ending. LOL! | minerve 2
02/9/2020 11:10 | Boris is no coward. Whatever. Saying that is just stupid.Boris is a Hero. Chinese Virus could have had a sort of nuclear fall out. It hasnt and the risk is now far better understood. Risk is basically minimal for vast majority. Need to turn the rudder and adjust to the new understanding of this virus.Boris. Love him. Sometimes angry with him. But no coward. And masks should be voluntary. And get rid of vectors such as mice, rats , their fleas ticks faeces and invisble urine. Rats in wet markets and meat processors and food processors. Where Covid is. Should have registered by now.Love Nigel.Love Boris | xxxxxy
02/9/2020 11:04 | m2, meanwhile in the real world unemployment is off the scale, furlough payments are being scaled back and likely to end in 8 weeks time. Everywhere one looks there are empty commercial premises, and have you tried selling an expensive car lately? | lefrene
02/9/2020 11:04 | No prizes for Barnes being an Express writer. Who believes that stuff other than the avid readers on here who await every word? ROFLMAO | alphorn
02/9/2020 11:03 | I bought this morning at around 26.9. Think we might see a bounce from here. Currently I'm not looking to 'hub' and hold | stupmy
02/9/2020 11:02 | "You and him have a lot in common." Well that is just your opinion. We have evidence to prove Boris is one. Anyway, society can perhaps tolerate me being one, if what you say is true, because I'm not the current PM, he is. | minerve 2
02/9/2020 10:59 | EU revolt: Germany threatens to plunge bloc into crisis by rejecting new trade dealTHE trade deal between the European Union and a bloc of South American countries was dealt a fresh blow after Germany criticised the pact.By JOE BARNES, BRUSSELS CORRESPONDENT09:05, Wed, Sep 2, 2020 | ... Daily Express... But does again show how inept the EU is. So going by Canada etc, there will be a No Deal with tbe UK. Great. Ideal. Onward to the Global future for the UK. WTO | xxxxxy
02/9/2020 10:59 | We don't know how much of that demand is temporal considering the cessation of purchases for months, government monetary intervention and delayed effects on business and the economy. At this point in time it means nothing. | minerve 2 |
