Min Civil servants on the coal face must advise on how best to implement changes in strategy! Arguing just for the sake of it has to stop! We are going it alone now without 27 nations to keep happy, with stitched up quotas and price fixing they call a level playing field. Granted we cannot build a 1000 bed hospital in a fortnight or a four runway terminal that can handle 100m passengers pa. but we have to compete with extremely disciplined non democratic, highly productive countries that steal our lunch! We are a rich country because of past glories and a mature infrastructure, all of which are at risk if we procrastinate over no brainers like transport, nuclear energy etc.

Utricky

Nothing comes from guttersnipe like you that deserves respect.

Try putting an educated and civilised comment together backed by decent rationale and facts and that may change. I doubt you can though, you haven't got the wherewithal.

"Another oxbridge humanities burger flipper."

He has achieved way more than you will ever do in your sad little life old boy!

I think a little bit of respect would be in order.

CtR, Cummings is a modern day Thomas Cromwell. I doubt Patel will take any prisoners either.

@Scruff.

Not sure what 6 police cars of unprepared coppers would achieve other than infecting themselves.

Overkill for sure.

But get a burglary or have the gypsies move in to the field next door and the overpaid fokkers are nowhere to be seen most of time.

"On disgruntled Whitehall officials suing the government for constructive dismissal I say bring it on let's get all the Whitehall Brexit skeletons in the public domain"

Whitehall officials should be sued for obstruction of implementing a democratic vote. Then imprisoned.

"Autocratic leadership might work with those who are poorly skilled"
All the arguing is done in the house and in the Cabinet! Decisions are made to be carried out, not impeded by civil disobedient pen pushing servants!

"And don’t even think of backsliding on any commitments made in the Withdrawal Agreement"

Says French minister.

Clearly she has forgotten that "Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed"

No trade deal, no more transition.
Ergo No Withdrawal Agreement.
