It certainly is an eye watering placing and in hindsight it's now easy to see whay the company started doing so many presentations towards the end of last year.

It's plainly disappointing that the CEO isn't taking a single share in the placing, which is almost unheard of. However it's worth noting that the non-exec Graeme Speirs is taking 7.5m, which is significant in anyone's book and I'm also glad to see Miton taking on 31.25m, so around 40% will be in firm hands.

The market cap will rise to 50m with the new shares, so revenues are going to have to increase sharply to justify that valuation, so we'll have to see if the company can deliver.

QP. They don't really care about PI money.. that's clear from the measly allocation in the open offer.City Spivs knew this was coming and have walked the price down the get lower entry. It's a crooked system but it's all we've got. What I want to see now is meaningful director buys to shore up confidence.

Good to know Timbo.Those who did participate have clearly seen/heard something they like. It's a given DARPA is going to scale up this year and next. If the US military go the same way with the rugged D3S then KMK will make hundreds of millions in revenue over the next 5 years

I was offered the chance to participate in this one, but declined as it was there was little or no discount and it did not qualify for EIS tax relief, the latter being pretty much a prerequisite for me nowadays

I have a small interest through Amphion, so I will go along to the Equity Development presentation this evening at Fladgate and hear the investment case.

Yes it's was obviously common knowledge in the market. But it done now and we have new II's investors and PI will have a (brief) period to load up at the same level

I'm trying to work out if it's worth averaging down on this one or the downward spiral (in the share price) will continue.... It could be a cheap price - then again it could also be expensive!

Remember guys, we've given them our capital to use in the business and they are fully accountable to shareholders . If they've lost so much shareholder value, they must be held accountable for the loss of shareholder value.

Grassroots shareholder activism is increasingly important in sending messages to management and whilst the ED investor forum is not an AGM, it is nonetheless a good opportunity to ask direct, probing questions and to expect direct answers.

The company's performance and responses at the investor presentation will no doubt subsequently be discussed here on these bulletin boards.
