Looks like a seller has cleared. We should see steady progress from here. KMK is flying under the radar at present but won't be for much longer IMO.

Some big sales this afternoon totaling 1.4M shares. I'm surprised the price hasn't jumped more today though.

Totally agree Phil, the market has not woken up to KMK's revolutionary disruptive technology, if this was a US company on the NASDAQ it would be valued 10x current MCap.Plenty of newsflow to come soon.

Will be covered by Shares Mag and Inv Chron etc as well as papers so I can see this at 40p just by next week.

Enormous potential for this business and completely under the radar.

Yes it's not cheap on fundamentals but there are huge take-over prospects here too for their patented products.

I'll keep adding for the longer term.

Slightly disappointing response to today's news in terms of the SP, but the reality is that this was a 'known' deal. Kmk is not cheap, but holds lots of promise. Hopefully we'll see some news soon on the medical side which will drive the share price up to 42p and beyond.

From Equity Development today;

Kromek is pioneering digital colour imaging for x- and gamma rays, using cadmium zinc telluride crystals. Key markets include: medical imaging, homeland security and nuclear detection.

'Dirty bombs'are a terrifying prospect that, if detonated, would wreak havoc in large cities like New York. Not only causing death and destruction at the blast zone, but also widespread contamination of public areas potentially to be cordoned off for weeks or months.

This is why the US Department and Defense (DoD), via its DARPA division (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), has just placed two landmark orders with Kromek worth $6.75m in total, to help safeguard the nation from such bombs.

DARPA's long term vision is to establish a comprehensive security blanket across large swathes of the country - meaning that this contract could ultimately be expanded to cover literally 100ks (if not millions) of government employees under one huge integrated network. Better still, the $500/unit price point is a global first, and we understand active discussions are already in motion with at least 2-3 other major customers to deploy this patented technology.

When this is added to the $7m of deals secured in H1, and January's $1m bone mineral densitometry contract, we estimate that total FY16 order intake will be >$15m - representing a book:bill ratio of at least 125%, based on turnover of £8.4m. Demand also shows that the adoption of truly disruptive technologies is likely to occur even in the face of macro-economic headwinds.

Our estimates suggest that Kromek should become EBITDA and cashflow positive on annualised revenues of circa £11.5m and £14.5m. No changes are made to our 42p/share price target.

Excellent, the DARPA deal has now been confirmed. We should break new highs on the news, this is just the start for the DS3. We should see very chunky contracts on a rolling basis!

Isis suspects secretly monitored Belgian nuclear scientist, raising dirty bomb fears
The scientist could be seen coming and going from his home during 10 hours of surveillance footage

Investigators speculated that the suspects intended to kidnap the official potentially and potentially steal enough radioactive material to create a dirty bomb DIRK WAEM/AFP/Getty Images
A senior Belgian nuclear official was secretly monitored by suspects linked to the 13 November Paris attacks, raising fears Isis is trying to obtain radioactive material to make a dirty bomb.

In the aftermath of the attacks, which killed 130 people, police in Belgium seized surveillance footage of the high-ranking nuclear official - who has not been identified for security reasons.

The scientist could be seen coming and going from his home in the Flanders region during the 10-hour fixed-camera film, La Derniere Heure newspaper reported.

Agree TT. The fact that DARPA is a government agency will also mean it needs to formally announce the conclusion of the tender process. I've been keeping an eye on the DARPA website all month - hopefully won't need to check the site for many more days!

To recent Equity Development Note also supports my theory of imminent news:

"Indeed, barring any last minute hitches, we think DARPA will shortly award Kromek an approx. 12,000 unit order (1,000/month beginning 15th March 2016) worth >$6m; followed by another for 100k+ (or >$50m) sometime in FY17"

hxxp://www.equitydevelopment.co.uk/doc/1422.pdf

If the contract is worth >$6m and due to commence in March 2016 how can they not announce via RNS, this is material price sensitive information.

The CEO also re-stated 'working towards the March delivery' 2 weeks ago at the 'Shares' presentation.

Gads, I agree the video presentation was not 100% clear, however the below RNS clearly states the company will update the market:The Notice is not a contractual commitment and therefore does not have an impact on the financial performance of the Company. As stated in the Notice, third parties could submit information to DARPA until 7 October 2015. DARPA will now determine whether it will conduct a competitive procurement or award the sole source contract to Kromek. The Company will update the market as appropriate. The DARPA deal becoming a commercial contract would need to be RNS'

I watched the video from the recent conference and interpreted Arnab Basu's words about the DARPA deal slightly differently...

Ever since the sole source notice was announced, I have been waiting for a news release about the actual contract award for, I think, 12,000 detectors for DARPA, but I don't think this is something we will ever see. The wording in the video was very much 'we are making these now and they are on schedule for March delivery', so I don't think we will see another release relating to that order except perhaps to say that it is finished and delivered.

I would expect a follow-up order to therefore take much longer, as they will presumably need to introduce, test, and analyse the effectiveness of the initial 12,000 before placing a larger order. The good thing is that the sole source notice effectively means that there won't be a further tendering process for a larger order and Kromek should get it 'automatically'.

I was very encouraged by the video of the conference, but was surprised to see that the company see future growth to be much more of a big deal in the medical market, rather than the dirty bomb/detection market. I guess things like future current events will dictate that though.

I continue to add to my holding at selected opportunities. This is a long game for sure, but it fits my profile of a future large growth company. (I am biased as I studied sciences at Durham and that's what initially got me interested...) The next 2 years might be slightly tough with regards to cash flow, that's my biggest concern, but I just view any weakness in the current price as a further opportunity to buy, with one eye on the balance sheet.

I'm very surprised more have not joined the party in expectation of the DARPA deal. News is imminent and all the signs are it will be good news for KMK. The shares should see a significant re-rating when DARPA follow up their sole source notice with a chunky order. March is the key date I'm tracking for DARPA to come back to KMK with contract news.

Thanks for that "thewheeliedealer".
Darpa contract is the game changer here but they still need to deliver revenue quicker to avoid another cashcall.
Have no concerns about the long term story here but think there is plenty of time to jump on board.
Going far more slowly than I hoped.
Have held since before the IPO
