09/2/2017 15:29 | advfn wouldn't allow the link in my mssg, presumably because it's a proactive investors article. Easily searchable though under liberum and johnston press today. The article is quite upbeat. | stdyeddy
09/2/2017 15:27 | Well 80p is a more plausible target from where we are: [...] | stdyeddy
09/2/2017 15:01 | Liberum downgrade today... to 80p. | scapital
09/2/2017 14:32 | Would you know how many freeholds they own ? | dazzaa
09/2/2017 14:13 | Surely JPR should just do sale and leasebacks on all their freehold properties then use the proceeds to pay back debt which they are paying interest at 8.625%. | thevaluehunter
08/2/2017 22:38 | firwood - yes, the same. Disgruntled ex-employees; my guess is possibly some militancy but also poor leadership and communication from management, starting with AH. | stdyeddy
08/2/2017 22:09 | firw00d: Good spot! That property could be worth a few quid! | netcurtains
08/2/2017 20:45 | Is this a related article to the one you put the link to yesterday eddy ? it didn't work for me hxxp://www.holdthefr Note the comment at the bottom of the page, Someone's not happy !! An ex employee i'd say . . . (not another one) | firw00d
08/2/2017 09:24 | Thanks eddy. | dazzaa
08/2/2017 06:47 | He gets a year's notice dazz unfortunately - it's in the annual report. Not especially unusual for chief execs or board directors although there is a body of opinion that feels it's much too long. DK gets 6 months and Camilla 3 months. | stdyeddy
07/2/2017 19:58 | long term lease hold also is worth a tidy sum | netcurtains
07/2/2017 19:28 | Gosh I didn't think they had any freeholds, on your last point though why would he be due any, not that I have any idea of his contract terms or does failure have a value formula? as defined by share price or profit. | dazzaa
07/2/2017 17:41 | I imagine these premises (up for sale) will net jpr a million plus: hxxp://www.southyork So that's AH's severance pay accounted for. | stdyeddy
07/2/2017 14:28 | That's what I meant about the change of tone dazz. Although I imagine it's only because he's got to account for himself this week when he goes to meet Rich B. | stdyeddy
07/2/2017 10:52 | More from AH Asked how he felt about the speculation around his future, Highfield said: “We’ve got to be pretty thick-skinned to work in this industry. The publishing industry is a tough industry and I would expect to take the knocks and get on with it. “I’m not letting it stop me from focusing on what needs to be done and I’m not losing sleep over it. On the flipside, I do take seriously what our key shareholders say.” ...... So he does care. | dazzaa
06/2/2017 19:24 | I'm watching Trinity and Johnston from a technical point of view, Trinity's shares seem to be turning a corner 110 key trend to break, Johnston's the sellers seem to have finished and we have found a level playing field. I think at some stage we should see this share fly again but hopefully it will be better than a hot air balloon ride on a stormy day ;-) There maybe some similarity here with Trinity too. Aviva were selling Trinity and once their selling stopped their shares turned a corner. Perhaps Orbis were a forced seller hence why the market makers moved the price down so quickly after consolidation. Anyway interesting times ahead. | karlos885
06/2/2017 13:04 | brando69: I'm just having a laugh, there is no plot to lose. Have nothing much to say on triad, or flybe, or red, or watr or cpx, etc etc, so might as well witter away on johnson while I wait for other developments.. Watr doing well on some american thing or other, cant really understand why though. | netcurtains
06/2/2017 10:45 | have you sent your 'tip' to the national news editors? do let us know how you get on... | brando69
06/2/2017 09:31 | netcurtains you're losing the plot mate | brando69
06/2/2017 08:59 | If journalists out there want a tip.... Draw a parallel with Boss Hog and Donald TRump - with cartoon pictures (including Miss Daisy and the Good Old Boys)... | netcurtains
06/2/2017 06:51 | BBC Radio 4 "What the papers say" this morning lead with the "I" .. Its all about Trump of course. Trump is good for JPR Scotsman alerted me to INDY2 this morning - also good for circulation there: | netcurtains
05/2/2017 19:09 | watching Billions. CA need to do to JPR what Axe Capital did to Yum Yumz | brando69
05/2/2017 18:46 | Firwood - thanks for that. I think I detect a change of tone from AH. Lord crybaby; likewise. Good to see an informed, grounded opinion. Dazz, if only they'd get on with buying back the bonds. Am not sure if jpr can pull off a sub-par purchase, especially if AH and DK are hoping to reissue a bond in 2019. However, reducing the debt is supposed to be one of the big strategic priorities and I'm sure there's a commitment in the bond prospectus to buy back bonds whenever they've got cash over a certain limit, at each year-end. Better to put it to work reducing interest coupons than having it burning a hole in jpr's pocket. Second class is fine btw. mrsx - so your money's on newsquest rather than trinity? | stdyeddy
05/2/2017 18:11 | Article out just now folks. hxxp://www.cityam.co | firw00d |
