I expect the last minute fence sitters to push this higher later today & tomorrow morn as the new year break is upon us, news is due anytime hopefully oil flowing from FPF1, then the party can really start here with an excellent year ahead for IAE.

Share price has paused a few times this year. But made a steady gain. So don't think you should conclude its stopped rising if it pauses.

I stop out my losers and let my runners ride. It's better trading imo.

Agreed I think this is now in potential breakout territory and we are going to 150p in next 8 weeks .... dependant on Stella success online and oil price traj ....good times indeed

£1.50 will be in reach sooner than most of us think, once we reach full production which is being estimated at 25-30k bpd so I'd guess March will be through the £1.50 IMHO.

Ah, the 64 million dollar question. Looking at the IAE chart the price reached around 130p middish 2014 then crude sold off and took all the oilers with it..the IAE and the crude chart are almost identical..I'm a novice but I reckon if crude can make progress towards $70/bbl in the next year or so 150p is surely within reach..debt repayments, rising bopd, falling costs and that ever present 'takeover' fillip

do you have any idea what iae is worth?
my average is 23 and when I buy them I was thinking 78 was a fair value clearly oil sentiment have improved but I cannot really see how much more value can be in this one other than a full take over

I have taken profit so far and I am on a free ride so happy to keep until 2021 as my original plan still is for oil to pick in 2021

Looks like news on first oil from FPF1 is close! Once through £ it's going north rapidly IMHO.

I spotted an announcement yesterday in Faroe (To their credit Vox Markets alert on stocks one follows) that Delek have taken a 13% stake in Faroe from Dana/KNOC in an off market trade. I havent any more details at the moment but would consider this to be good news for Faroe, not that they would worry about the stake but Delek have shown a degree of responsibility in having a stake in Ithaca as far as I am aware…

I agree that they will be seeking to add whiskeyinthejar, my fear is, well its not a fear as it may be great for us short term is that the Chinese amongst others are flashing the cash in the north sea and as we are going to be the lowest cost producer very soon with a decent production rate of 25-30k a day, I can see us being a sitting duck for a major or IOC...the Chinese have the deepest pockets and we are a pretty sight in a safe secure area of the world.

Either way is going to be a great year for us and a very exciting first few months...im very surprised we are still under £ considering all that is just around the corner.

I don't know if Delek will ever bid. I think they add a lot of value just by having seats on the board.

But what I was getting at was that Ithaca are in market to buy oil&gas reserves in GSA area.

So like the recent Austen purchase. They are actively talking to other oil companies.

Private Investors may just be focused on Stella. But imo interests in additional fields will keep fpf1 busy, add to the NAV and keep institutions buying.

That's a definite possibility...2017 will see plenty of that IMHO, many small cap oilys with no cash being swallowed up buy mid cap players, Delek will be forced into making a move soon before a major takes a fancy to our growing asset base.

With oil In 2017 predicted to be in the 65-70 buck range and our production about to double then treble I think a buyout offers will be coming in thick & fast IMHO.

The other thing on horizon is I think we were told to expect another asset purchase in Stella area.

Should be big deal for share price imo.

I can see this easily breaching £ in the first week in new year, maybe before if oil price firms up...a nice increase in both oil price and our own production will see to that. looks like the 80's are history if you ask me!

FYI apparently IAE has been tipped today by Shares Magazine as one of their 10 nap tips for 2017 (along with IDEA and CAPD which I also hold).
