Have they stopped binary trading?

I'd imagine market is waiting for the FCA rules due spring 2017. Feedback deadline has lapsed due 7th March.

Trading update should be pretty bland. Catalyst for this stock will come when a fund manager with a brain can be bothered to get a calculator out and see the magnitude of the cash generation

Currently about 20% of what I have in GVC. I anticipate adding here once we break out of the current trading range.

The share price has been in a very tight range for some time now. I wonder if the Trading statement will be a catalyst for a break out upwards to £6 as there is - imo - way too much bad news already in the price?

Looking at Director sells re 02/08/2016 4 Directors including Peter Hetherington sold substandial holding,s at 880 ? Also another 2 directors sold on 30/11/2016 at 8.41,just before the FCA annoucement ? It is only Peter Hetherington that has reinvested at 550.Nice deal for him, basically doubling his holding for £136k.All looks a complete carve up IMHO ? If the fellow director,s have not reinvested then someting array here, and a lack of confidence ?

hee hee - well Motley Fool are not the brightest tools in the tool box.

Personally I am of the opinion and offer will be coming for IG from someone who can leverage their own client base and substantially reduce the cost of customers acquisition. Cash generation is fantastic in this business model, but cash generation pre customer acquisition expenses is enormous relative to enterprise value

Embarrassed to even post this ... but folks over at Motley Fool saying the following:

"Another market leader that’s had an awful few months is spread betting firm IG Group (LSE: IG). Back in December, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced a plan to implement new rules to raise standards across the industry, including requiring active customers to have more money in their accounts and prohibiting bonus promotions. Swiftly assuming that profits at firms such as IG would suffer, the market’s reaction was unequivocal. Cue a 40% fall in the shares.

Thanks to the prevailing uncertainty, shares in IG continue to trade on an appealing valuation (11 times earnings for 2017) and come with a 6.2% forecast yield. If the FCA backtracks even slightly from proposed new rules and/or takes on ideas suggested by those operating in the field, expect a strong rebound in the share price. Even if it doesn’t, the new rules could bring about consolidation in the industry and the removal of smaller competitors — a situation which could be beneficial for IG and its investors. "
