The 18th is in their Financial Calender and it's difficult to imagine they're going to suffer from new rules that haven't been implemented, which is why I decided to pick some up recently.

Results are in July. Around 18th. Regulations Form a barrier to entry and benefit the larger players with the resources. So maybe there will be some new rules in 2018, implementation 2019? , who knows when. But like the asset management industry, it becomes a cost of business and you just get on with it.

Can't see there being much of a reason for the Hedgies to push the share price up until nearer the results in August.

That's why these large organisations like being in the EU!

Those that run them get the big bucks whilst sitting back waiting for the EU to make the decisions.

The puppet FCA do a yellow-bellied bottom drawer of the paperwork until the EU
ringleader ESMA hit the touch paper.
MILFiDle has Changed to MiFIR. So they are pretty much carving it into stone.
Remember, Never Forget that CFDs (& Spread Bets) are a English invention and the market has been built up by English privateer companies. Look at what's happened to Binary Options in the EU.
The ESMA is only consulting with EU National Competent Authorities (NCAs)
So IGG and PLUS may not be part of this?
Its all about Brexit now.

Why. Brokers will have to raise near term forecasts. Given everything is delayed, still under discussion.

Have to slightly agree, in profit but IMO until the FCA issues their paper/policy this will be held back - could be ages away and I am losing patience.

Last December the FCA stated "we aim to publish a Policy Statement confirming final FCA handbook rules in Spring 2017".I emailed the FCA a couple of weeks ago, the reply I go was:"As you can find on our Policy Development Update here - hxxps://www.fca.org.uk/news/policy-development-update - the FCA is expected to issue to a follow up to CP16/40 in June."For me the key words in this reply are "expected to issue to a follow up".This suggests the timetable possibly has slipped. The words "follow up" don't appear to suggest that they are ready to publish final rules.Read into that what you will.
