He's also wrong about blocking the internet. It's not designed to be blocked, if you have your servers offshore, and unless you are the Chinese Govt, then you really can forget about that.

Slippery - you have no credibility, you have no insights to offer, you are a waste of time, you are filtered.

Your rationale is child-like. Quote, "lets assume turkey is the darkest grey, have no jurisdiction over GVC at all. Why? well GVC have no operations or people in turkey, and thus cannot be taxed or regulated by Turkey in any way".

Erm... Ever heard of the off switch?

That is why the pe ratio of gvc will never match playtech. They are the wild west flying by the seat if their pants.

You guys are so naive it is untrue.

Nothing lasts forever.

Are you lot crazy. Individual contries can just cut off internet access to GVC at any given moment. You are a crowd on cretinous morons. It is the ultimate regulation. Just ask China.

Slippery,

Your lack of knowledge of the sector is obvious. Plus you have not done your homework on the new CFO who was bought in to sort out the mess that Wonga had turned into. he did a good job and thus your mis information is at best disingenuous.

Actually full regulated markets are not the Holy grail they once were, take the UK for example. the gambling commission seem hell bent on regulating themselves out of business and the resulting increase in compliance costs and additional taxes mean that grey market revenues are preferable IMHO. FOBT's (roulette machines) will be restricted in 2017 in the UK IMHO but it will not affect GVC one jot because GVC does not own one single betting shop.

Who is going to fine GVC? They have multiple licenses that include jurisdictions that allow receipt of business from all around the world. But the individual markets , lets assume turkey is the darkest grey, have no jurisdiction over GVC at all. Why? well GVC have no operations or people in turkey, and thus cannot be taxed or regulated by Turkey in any way. Also FYI Turkey does not claim extra territorial jurisdiction on its laws, so leaving GVC in a perfect operating environment.

So what new regulations are you talking about exactly?

Yes maddox

Regulation and heavy fines will put a stop to the growth here once in for all 2017.

Just ask the departing FD who just dumped a she load of stock. Or ask the new ex Wonga fd I've heard he's an expwrt in dealing with ever-tightening regulation.

Happy NY

Seeing as you disappeared sharpish once the RNS appeared I think a reminder of the highlights of the trading update is in order.....

'Trading update and increase in special dividend

GVC Holdings PLC (LSE:GVC), the multinational sports betting and gaming group, is pleased to announce that the strong trading performance previously reported has continued through the fourth quarter. As a consequence the Board now expects pro forma1 NGR for the year to 31 December 2016 and adjusted/clean EBITDA2 to be at the upper end of market expectations3. In addition, the positive momentum across the business combined with strong cash generation gives the Board the confidence to announce a 49% increase in the proposed special dividend, previously announced on 3 November 2016, to euro 14.9c per share (settled in sterling and fixed at 12.5p per share).

Trading

All data refers to the fourth quarter trading period up to 12 December 2016 and is pro forma.

· Group daily NGR up 12% (+14% constant currency) against the corresponding period in 2015

· Sports daily NGR +19% (+19% constant currency)

· Gaming/other daily NGR +8% (+11% constant currency)

The growing momentum in Q4 is pleasing given the tough comparatives, particularly December, which in 2015 was the Group's strongest trading month.'

.....anything you wish to discuss on these points Slippery?

The fd dumping stock is a disaster gor sentiment. The divid and rhetoric have fallen on deaf ears as far as the share price goes. Increased dhort position today.

Think 2017 will be a disater here and the unregulated chicks will come home to roost.

Goodness, I had to read your post twice, thought you
were being rude.

Anyway, disciplined investors will now be investing in the
next big dividend payer, I am anyway, will receive a very
handsome one from paf any day now, move it into gvc to
qualify for another handsome one from gvc, and on.

Just as some fun.

My recovery plays for 2017 are
lam, itv, aly and gdl. ( although itv and aly are part of my
income also ).

My income and growth are
gvc, hgm and paf.
