It's based on Euribor which is negative at the moment- but the floor is 0.

The additional drawdown facility must be for another acquisition. Lesson learnt probably about how costly the Cerberus loan was.

=========================

Kenneth Alexander, CEO, said:

"The long-term refinancing provides greater visibility and security in terms of our debt facilities. To have completed our inaugural institutional loan market financing and to have been significantly oversubscribed is a reflection of the progress made by GVC. Furthermore, access to a broader debt investor base is important given the ongoing consolidation in the gaming industry, particularly given the Group's proven track record of successful M & A."

I am not personally against a negative view, but I do
not like the practice of shorting as it destroys the
wealth of decent private investors, by hegde funds.

Back to gvc, through 701p, now for 750p.

I think you've probably done the right thing there, CatsWhiskas - I'm sure there are much better shorting opportunities than GVC out there at the moment.

Hi All

Just thought I would let the bb know I've closed out on my short here the share price is very strong and just keeps fighting back so well done all longs.
Does anyone know when the government are going to review the FOBT the uncertainty is killing the William hill share price and I'm looking at buying in when the report is out ,thanks

The pattern continues, a late spike in the afternoon and then a move down in the morning, on very small volumes.

Well i would have said that a merger of Paddy Power, a bookmaker and Betfair, a betting exchange was a marriage of incompatibles, or competing business models in sports betting at least, and they havn't made a bad job of it!

I guess it depends on whether PTEC think they can retain their key B2B clients by openly becoming their competitor in B2C. But I certainly dont think its straight forward, and would not buy the stock on the strength of it in the absence of any other information.

Or a clever trick by KA to plant this story to suss out William Hill or 888?

Looks like marriage of incompatibles if it happens, imo

Haven't we appointed 2 senior execs from Ptec in the last year or so? At least they will know the business and potential synergies well.....of course it could be all rumour and no substance which is my guess so soon after such a massive acquisition.

Ptec are back end, gvc front end.Would mess up a lot of ptec deals as they would compete with themselvesThis would be a big surprise.Even so, there is no doubt we need more consolidation in the sector

Ah, I'd missed that post. Yes the same rumour that I heard today. But I guess it could be the same source, our CFO saw it on Betaville maybe? Is anyone a subscriber who can access the full article?

As its current forward multiple (ie post Bwin synergies being fully extracted) its no surprise that there would be interest. Could flush out William Hill I wonder? It makes more sense to me if it was a B2C buyer than a B2B.

Brownie, I can respect you not wanting to post unsubstantiated rumours, but would you wish to comment on the earlier post 25304 from tonysss13 suggesting that GVC were looking at a tie-up with Playtech??

Big rumour circulating in the industry today involving GVC.
I'm not going to post a pure rumour until its sourceable, but its very good for longs here and I suspect will be the reason for the big finish after a red start to the day. Bigger volume to accompany the rise is encouraging too.

God help the shorters if this has any substance.
