Hi Chester, I have held, I still think they will reach 800 barring a financial crisis. I've been in and out of GAW since 2002. Got into them after my young son got involved and I was taking him to an indie store in Takapuna, New Zealand. LOTR was taking off.I did well timing my exit reasonably well a few years later. In 2008 I had high hopes for the online game AOR and the spin off store sales. My son and his mates thought it was excellent. EA bought the developer but then EA hit financial difficulty for a few years and would not invest in AOR. A real shame that - we could have been well over 1000p by now. I stayed in on the back of the restructuring effort. GAW has been good for trading, hitting 100p a few times then up to 850p with volatility in between.

Kingston. Also Epsom has a new manager and looks much busier. The managers seem much happier with the new CEO and they are all going to get paid more, which also is good as it's been some time since they had a pay rise.

Woozle1,

Which is your local store? Is it single man operation? I had a fascinating 30 minutes chatting to the manager and a few customers in the Sheffield store recently.

I know that the manager at local GW has beaten his targets and is v happy! Age of Sigmar is gaining traction.

If it has been as good a Christmas as the Trading Statement was pointing too, then we could be looking at another Divi announcement in the 1st week on January fingers crossed.

I think that they will. There are plenty of income funds to absorb this and, especially now that there's the prospect of growth. W

After the 1st December transaction Phoenix still had 949,000 shares. We don't know whether they are continuing to exit. If they are, that's still a large overhang given the average daily volume here is below 50k (over the long term). Volumes have improved which is promising. All the structural and product changes over the past three years seems to be improving the bottom line at long last.

Interceptor2,

Completely agree.

They actually had a disappointing December last year so the comparables are pretty soft. I'm very interested in what's driving H1 growth, they've said Sales,FX and royalty all up but not the respective quantum's.

Bought in here today after watching closely since the last positive trading update. I agree with comments here that the overhang could have been more or less removed now.

Christmas trading will be important, which is perhaps why they issued a slight word of caution at the end of the last two ahead trading updates. Fortunately they are due to release interim results on 10th January, which is likely to comment on Christmas trading.

A strong Christmas update to add to the already increased sales and profits, plus FX benefits would be a rather powerful catalyst.

Once the overhang is out of the way, the share price should start heading North

Phoenix went below 3% on the 9th Dec, will no longer report so could have sold further since then.

Should add that PH have increased 2017 EPS F/C from 44.7p to 57.9p. Looks conservative.

Cycled past the GW in Epsom that has always looked a tip and glad to say that there must be a new manager as it was transformed

Phoenix have been exiting this for a while. Growth and propective 10% yield should help them find buyers.

Phoenix still selling which is a surprise given the positive news. It's perhaps driven by a higher level strategy on the sector e.g. reduce retail investments.Spare a thought for Legal and General who sold out at the three year low in June.
