David Main should get the boot for making statements to shareholders and not delivering but I doubt anyone in FBT would have the courage to take a tough business decision. I don't understand what he brings to FBT, surely IM could take over the fundraising aspect?

However, I have to agree with NickB.

Fbt are scam artists but certainly not Bernie Madoff and sadly not as good as the other tech scam artists. Deals happen, I spoke with a guy last year who sold his first company for $500 billion.

FBT needs to be attracting the big players, they need to court a purchaser. With the share price at 5p, they have failed spectacularly to generate any interest around their product.

Any Amazon movie uses approx 3-4gb of data on high definition. What effect would blackbird have on that rate, if it reduced the requirement by even 10%, I don't see why Amazon wouldn't take a controlling stake in FBT.

Anyway, here we are, a year of IM and a complete failure as reflected in the share price. Let's hope we get the deal despite the team.

I can see what you mean but surely if FBT don’t aim for the opportunity first then we will not get any big deals.

FBT has a massive opportunity ahead of it with huge technology /media companies which is why I have little interest in ordinary deals or lagging financial results.

The technology is, without doubt, capable of reaching billions of people. The CEO is admitting in this interview that without the support of large tech companies it is not possible(in a practical timescale) or that the staff at FBT cannot achieve it.

This is where the company currently sits, after one year in charge and a lack of any truly significant deal.

In September 2016, David Main stated that FBT were targeting profitability in 2018, this on the back of a fund raise, if so next weeks results should show break even at least.

If it does not then, for me, words are meaningless, actions are all that counts.

GL and IMHO

My only worry would be that this sounds like the hyperbole that was seen in previous eras. Hopefully he can back it up with some actual deals.

Billions of views!

IM’s recent interview

On where Blackbird is heading ...
McDonough: We are widely used in the B2B space. But where I really want it to go is the ability for billions of people to view media, sports and entertainment using the high-quality, highly-responsive Blackbird technology. We’ve started with B2B, but can see ourselves in a B2B2C arena, probably with partnerships with the big tech guys on the West Coast. What Stephen Streater has invented, I knew was special when I first joined. But after being here a year and speaking at length to people far more knowledgeable than myself, I know what we’ve got is unique and a standout product. So we really want to make everything we can of it.

Could our Blackbird Codec help solve the latency problem of live streaming?
We are down to only 6 seconds behind live for editing in the Cloud if we can scale that for millions of streams we could be onto something!

I did notice this tweet from FBT back in July which I thought interesting at the time.

Amazon UK's US Open tennis coverage is turning into a disaster - more than 80% of 640-plus reviews on its site giving just 1-star: issues cited include pictures and sound, no record/pause/rewind options and lack of match replays. Ouch.

I see Amazon having a nightmare with their U.S Open Tennis Coverage.

I wonder if Blackbird could have helped.

Unless there is some technical reason it cannot happen some kind of blockchain will be implemented in our technology I reckon.

It would make our offering even more powerful.

Perhaps IBC announcement next week?

SSB, I know you love anything Blockchain related. Just noticed Chief Content and Commercial Officer at Vuulr liked IM recent post on LinkedIn.

The VUULR SUPPLY CHAIN --- built on the Ethereum Blockchain, will provide a trustable protocol, a distributed data layer, and a suite of dApps for managing and securing the industry’s key data as a single shared ledger. The Vuulr Supply Chain is an implementation of the industry-accepted MovieLabs Digital Distribution Framework (MDDF)

To be fair, you'd need contract wins to have content to post.At least next week we can enjoy looking at the remuneration that our excellent board of NEDs received.

I was trying to understand why any investor would invest in a company that has had no real revenue for the past 18 years then complain about the business performance🤔

Your reasons for investing are not my concern....

Good Luck, again, with your investment.

Q. At what point does investing based on revenue make sense?

My feeling somewhere between £3m to £5million pa a with revenue growth exceeding 100%pa
