29/8/2018 09:12 | Any positive is good for us, would like to know we are improving and not regressing in the bank account though. | sideshowbull
29/8/2018 09:11 | It’s about adoption. Building momentum of take up its how we can become a standard industry solution. Congratulations FBT team. | nickb
29/8/2018 08:25 | Is it possible that things have changed in a year? A year ago the deal might have been more than 10% of turnover but now the deal announced today isn't because turnover is going up. They did say the first quarter was up 80% and if that was continuing any new deal would have to be 80% larger than a year ago to merit an RNS. It's part of the dynamic situation we Grown Ups call life. Try to be happy today. | chriscallen
29/8/2018 08:16 | The original release was a full RNS. So - we waited a full year for something that was less than 10% of turnover on the basis of the original RNS. To my knowledge, other than the BBC, no other pilot has been given an RNS. Read into that what you will. | bonio10000
29/8/2018 08:01 | For a full RNS it has to meet the criteria set out in the Listing Rules. The fact that it isn't an RNS means that it doesn't, as if it did they have to publish in RNS form, and tells us it is less than 10% of annual turnover which is useful information in itself. You can download a copy of the Rules for free if you haven't already got one - it's invaluable bed time reading. PS It could still be £60K+ which is a useful win with more likely to come because once FBT is a trusted supplier the door is open to sell much more and the normal barriers for don't exist. | chriscallen
29/8/2018 07:34 | So we could do NBA, NHL and NFL for less than £200k p.a. on that basis.Lol. | bonio10000
29/8/2018 07:33 | Nothing to stop a full RNS. | bonio10000
29/8/2018 07:32 | Perhaps the Sports side of the customers business though large in terms of FBT is very small in terms of the customer's range of media activities? It's an RNS Reach so its important but doesn't reach the 10% of annual turnover threshold required for a full blooded RNS. | chriscallen
29/8/2018 07:31 | Sounds like we are giving away the product again. If one of the major US leagues isn't even an RNS, i.e. £70k p.a., it makes you wonder why they are bothering.Sell the IP and move on. | bonio10000
29/8/2018 07:28 | On reflection , despite earlier annoyance, I can see that withholding the name of the customer is sensible in this sort of situation. FBT have a foot in the door but there may already be competitors inside who, if they knew the threat, could try to block any extension of the product across the company. It will probably leak anyway but even a couple of weeks gives FBT a real opportunity. | chriscallen
29/8/2018 07:26 | Why is it a small step? Sounds like the talk of it being a major deal on its own is wide of the mark. Doesn't tally with the original press release.More fbt being economical with the facts. | bonio10000
29/8/2018 07:23 | The text: Forbidden Technologies plc (AIM: FBT) is pleased to announce that a pilot announced in July 2017 with a major North American broadcaster and sports rights holder has successfully completed. During the period of the pilot Blackbird (formerly Forscene) provided producers and editors with a workflow and remote collaborative access to enable them to view and create clips prior to a final editing process. The producers within the creative division of the Company will start using Blackbird Forte to view, edit and enrich the content of a major North American sports league. Forbidden CEO, Ian McDonough says: "We are excited to be taking this relationship to the next stage. I am delighted that the Blackbird pilot has been successful within the creative division. This is a small but crucial step to seeking wider adoption across the Company's media infrastructure." | chriscallen
29/8/2018 07:12 | Not even a full RNS?Last line is interesting, suggests the sports deal is minor and it's a bridge head into the organisation. | bonio10000
28/8/2018 13:24 | Latest Twitter Check out 'Hangin' With Ian McDonough', our latest interview with SportsBusiness Daily, . Find out how the Blackbird experience is helping brands reach consumers faster. Thanks @sbjsbd #sportsbiz | paulcon1
28/8/2018 13:10 | Putting 2 + 2 together to make 37 the interview with SportsDailyNews published on 24/08 may well have been in their Los Angeles office if indeed he was on the West Coast. | chriscallen
28/8/2018 13:10 | What happened to Mr Barry Nulmam, appointed at the start of the year, with great credentials, to work in the US? Is he still an FBT employee? | paulcon1
28/8/2018 11:09 | It does occur to me to ask, mainly because I see that IM has a speaking slot at IBC 2018 whereas I don't think he went to ABE in Australia, what he was doing in early August? He might, of course been on holiday, but equally, and if I were him it's what I would have done, he could have been seeing the major contacts to see if one or more would adopt Blackbird before the mid year results are released. In that case he would have been in the USA as Europe closes down in August but the US has much lower holiday allowances (typically 10 working days even for quite senior staff). It would help to explain his lack of visibility this month. | chriscallen

27/8/2018 10:29 | Will September be a strong month for buffoonery? You betcha! | geheimnis2
27/8/2018 10:25 | Oh and can we have Mr Streater's weekly Tech blogs back? .. A little wordy at times but if peppered with some big contracts would go down a treat! Found them to be useful and an interesting insight! GLA | paulcon1 |
