Just purely out of interest, I would LOVE to know what the problem actually is with developing or selling Moonlight ?

3 so-called BEE Investment Partners and 3 CEO's later we are seemingly no further forward in 6 years and have never been told what has actually gone on.

I asked Tom Revy at a face to face meeting in London about this once, but he just clammed-up & wudn't elaborate at all. His so-called PR guy, Laurence Read, gave him a very dirty look across the table !

I would have thought that with Kumba Iron, about to be sold by their parent Company (Anglo American) imminently (all in the trade press) and the fact that their mine at Thabazimbi has effectively reached end of life, it would be a no-brainer for the newly independent BOD of Kumba, to approach FCR and either buy outright, or JV the Moonlight project.

It seems strange to me, that this this has not yet happened - its the avenue I would be proceeding down, if I were JT.

IMHO, DYOR, GLA.

Sorry sage, i was away yesterday
Many thanks as Sam says for taking the time to update us here. As mostly LTH we are thin on the ground and mostly down on our investment, we have been promised the world here before but its the AIM and we take it with a pinch of salt while praying this time it might be true :-). I think most of us think the Spanish venture will go through and we hope moonlight will find a way forward as well, the worry as you point out will be the warrants and the traders dumping now, we need an institutional to soak up 500m at least :-)
As for it being quiet over here , better to have a few sensible post than a torrent of puerile nonsense as we see on other forums i think
cheers and stick around :-)

Sage

Thanks for your time to update reference the investor evening i normally attend the one in the Midlands, we over here are mainly LTH's and have mentioned several times about targets being missed, JT only been here 9 months now and has missed a few targets himself which as mentioned before i think that these are not down to him personally but the legals involved over in Spain.

You are right we are near the bottom seeing that we were up at 17p just over 5yrs ago when we had CEO's that promised the world and delivered nothing come and go its not really surprising!

I have spoken to JT a few times in the past and mentioned how important that first piece of positive news will be as we have had nothing positive at all. Once we get this out the way i feel the rest will follow and we should hopefully then get steady news flow going forwards. JT Seems a clever chap and you only have to read the RNS's he has written carefully to understand the potential here, yes i expect on first news there will be hundreds of millions of shares getting turfed out and rightly so as people have waited a long time and will use this point to exit, but its the bit after that i am looking forward to, constant news flow we hope with lots of positives on both projects to come.
Lets get rid of the short termer's and get these shares in the hands of institutions then and only then will we see a sustainable rise in the share price, but for that to happen we need to increase our market cap in order for them to even take a look at this!

A company with massive potential under the right leadership to take this forward, so hang on in there if you can!

GLA & thanks again!

Attended the Proactive event on Thursday and along with some other investing colleagues spoke to JT afterwards.

JT seemed upbeat during the presentation itself and answered investor questions well, tried to explain that the option extension was in the best interests of shareholders as they want to ensure that full due diligence is completed.

The interesting aspect, for me at least, was afterwards during the network session. A investor asked about the angry shareholder posts on the bulletin boards, he acknowledged that it was correct the company had historically missed targets and also a lot of investors had lost money. I found this refreshing to admit past failures.

When the same investor asked whether he should invest in FCR JT stated, with the usual caveats added, that is better to invest at the bottom than the top. From that I assume he thinks the share price is near the low.

I concluded, given the overall tone of JT that he is in confident mode and that suggests he may be close in concluding the deal all shareholders want.

My only concern, looking at the history of the company, is they are not adverse to diluting the shareholders and also those 450m warrants that are outstanding at about .16p, I would imagine these will be a drain on the share price for some time unless there are some very strong volume days.

In general based on what I heard and the body language of JT I think there could well be some decent news ahead.

DYOR etc

Hope you are right Sam but i worry if he has news he should release it ASAP rather than lining up he ducks while the share price drifts.

Black

I don't think we will ever get to complete the BFS and Ovation have failed on their part of the deal, if you look at the BZT website Ed Nealon is saying a lot of companies now go straight to the PFS and by-pass all these additional costs etc, no reason why we can't do the same. If and when we start our news flow, i do expect that FCR already has the additional data from AA and will announce this in good time, no need to announce now with all this going on in Spain, that will follow along with other news, lining up his ducks i think is the correct phrase!

Not long now hopefully!

Proactive Investor Conference went OK apparently. JT in ebulient mood. I'm hearing that the delay to Toral will evenutally mean a better deal for shareholders long term - whatever that means.

Progress at Moonlight too, by all accounts, but specifically what that is, I hav no idea. I gather that the Anglo American information they were given has been proving very useful. How to monetise this though, that is the problem, when no-one in South Africa actually seems to have the Readies, and 2 previous CEO's hav failed at the task.

Lets hope that JT can do a much better job and actually EXECUTE a decent deal for shareholders. I believe that he can.

Think everyone needs to chill and take a pill. It will happen when it happens for both Toral & Moonlight.

If yor shares are all bought & paid for with real money, what is the problem ? "Niento"

Lack of info is doing us harm now. I would guess the 500m warrants from the beginning of the this year are being put through which again does not bode well for a price rise any time soon. JT says the delay is the seller not the buyer so i doubt its anything to do with a JV. The AIM is brutal and morals, principles and honesty can fly ouy the window at the drop of a hat. We need to be very careful, AIM management are never accountable and rules here are almost impossible to impose.
Come on JT, simply being a "good bloke" is not good enough, we need details to base an investment on or many will get cold feet as we are seeing now. The lower the share price drops the more difficult the climb again. Already we will need to see over 100% increas just to be back where we were 12 months ago pre the Spanish deal !!

Think they take price on completion bit good luckI can't believe all the punters will be buying in the 30s having sold at 20!! Surely a delay is to be expected and doesn't lessen completion hopes?!!Madness bit at least we took advantage and topped upI will be selling my additional shares though if Spanish deal completes
