Not quite sure what JT has done wrong blackssBetter to have money in the bank and no debt with no death spirals in placeAlso who cares if he misses a timeline by a few days or weeks,I don't Must be v difficult to finalise these cross continent deals with so many different time zonesI like to buy when there is no nees and boredom and sell when everyone is v excited and Twitter is tippingThis is highly speculative bit why would JT finalise a salary days ago if moonlight news wasn't still a decent hope?I'm with you Andrea although 4p will do me and will leave the other 796 on the table for youThis is holes in the ground stuff so I wouldn't put in what I have put into spsy which is my share of the year

Black I hear, everything U say, and I share your pain.

I can't put my finger on it, but FCR, under JT and Merlin, just feels as if it might be "The One". But this is AIM , of course, and ANYTHING can happen, as we all know too well.

I understand the frustration with JT so far, but in my mind he has done 4 VERY important things in 2016.

1. Got TR sacked and changed the BOD to an effective, cost efficient team
2. Changed the future emphasis of the Company away from Iron Ore (a moribund, over-supplied global commodity) to Zinc & Lead, both of which are in industrial demand in the 21st Century, and whose prices are rising.
3. Kept the company financially solvent.
4. We have NO debt.

Arguably, the last 2 points are the most important, as without a solvent company, we wud have nothing else to talk about.

I have been to the Spanish proposed Minesite, under my own expenses, twice now, and have seen the lie of the land and met the Mining professionals in Spain, who will be taking the Toral project forward. Believe me, they are VERY good and VERY experienced people. Also, Merlin M-J, is also VERY talented , competent and ...Honest and that's a rare thing in the world of AIM listed Mining Management, in my experience.

I DO, also think that something will come out of South Africa, before too long, which may even help to finance the development of Spain going forward. I don't know what it is, obviously, but I think that it will hav to b something along the lines of a low cost production model,(which is how the Victorians did it after all) rather than using the Mining Majors, who are all trying to get out of conventional iron ore mining. The electric arc furnace is the future, not the blast furnace.

Interesting times ahead, but you hav to make yor own financial decisions & RISK is always a very personal matter.

IMHO, DYOR, GLA.

BVI are out of the way, and as Black rightly points out, FCR now hav 100% of Moonlight back. That's very gud news, as the original deal put together by TR, was a total stinker for FCR shareholders.

I strongly suspect that events are now happening with other parties, whose identity will, no doubt , be revealed, all in the fullness of time.

JT is a VERY intelligent man, with substantial Broking and Mining Company experience and I'm quite sure that there is method in his (apparent) madness. TR wud hav gon ahead with the original deal and stitched us up like a kipper with BVI, so we hav JT to thank for that, at least.

IMHO, DYOR.

As you say if there was some sort of moonlight JV or buy out in the pipeline why would they still be in discussions with BVI ?
Right now its not looking very good. JT would have known this deal was a none starter when he told everyone to expect end of year highs on the share price but he must have known this would actually be a set back to the share price
Nothing much makes sense not to mention the 50% dilution and placing at a year low.

Black

Totally agree, the bit that worries me a little is they are still in discussions with them, they have let us down before why wouldn't they do it again, but hopefully there are many others they are talking to. A complete waste of 1yr 4 months in the life of FCR for us LTH's. Time will tell not long now hopefully!

This is good news IMHO as it means we retain full control of Moonlight. We will see what the market thinks ? I expect a drop for the time being as it does underline the total incompetence of the previous management who failed on several attempts to get a BFS started and have wasted a couple of years with tin pot finance. The new management has yet to prove itself.

Update re Moonlight Project's BFS Phase I

Ferrum Crescent, the ASX, AIM and JSE quoted metals project developer, announces that, with regard to the farm-in and joint venture agreement (the "Agreement") with Business Venture Investments No. 1709 (Proprietary) Limited ("BVI"), first announced on 14 October 2015, for the production of a bankable feasibility study ("BFS") for the Company's Moonlight Iron Project in Limpopo Province, northern South Africa (the "Moonlight Project"), BVI has not completed Phase I of the BFS in accordance with the terms of the Agreement and the extended deadline of 12 January 2017.

The Company, while reserving its rights under the Agreement, is in ongoing discussions with BVI and is considering its options in relation to the potential development of the Moonlight Project. The Company will keep the market informed of material developments going forward as appropriate.

We know what happens here
weve read the book, seen the pattern

we rise in anticipation of news and fall on no news and boredom

at the moment there is a delay just like there was with Spanish deal

however there has been no rns saying moonlight deal is off...there are always delays with all these cross continent deals so i have been adding down here and now have 50m shares at an average a shade over 0.2

on any good news I think we will be 0.3 so lets see

downside to 0.17 if news isnt forthcoming

one or two of you have asked how i get to a 60p price tgt in spectra(sorry to go off topic)...my 4 favourites for 2017 are spsy aeg fcr ton(in that order)(although I do have a bigger holding in fcr than both eag and ton(just)..good luck all

see below

You may ask how I get to 60p valuation today in SPSY

I'm looking at 2017 year end

I'm hoping for 3p eps

Small company with decent growth it's not unreasonable to put this on a pe of 12

3 X 12 is 36p

What will cash be at year end..I'm hoping for 20p of cash

36p plus 20p cash is 56p

Aeris has massive market opportunity but for me it's like owning an option so I put a 4p valuation on this option

56p plus 4p is 60p

If aeris is a success and I have no idea but some of you may then add at least 40p to this

Well done pat
I bought a few more yesterday on the dip.
It will be interesting now to see if the BVI/BFS deal went ahead, i am guessing it didn't and there is an alternative in the pipeline that couldn't be set up until after the 12th. Makes sense to issue one RNS to cover all events later rather than rush something out straight away IMHO.

Wow wow wowWhat will my 43m be worth at 800p??!!Thanks Andrea
patviera
12/1/2017
11:03
Yes Pat, the total asset value is 800p per share, but clearly that wont be recognised by the market at this relatively early stage of exploration. It IS, however, a guide to the potential future size and value of the asset, shud it be put into production. i.e. Toral is not a waste of time and that's why Justin & Merlin are seeking to develop it.

IMHO, DYOR, GLA.

Personally i think you are right and value will come in stages over the coming months.
It only takes one poster like wonderer to start saying news tomorrow 100%..and i have spoken to JT on the phone...and the BFS is definitely going ahead etc for it to become Forum fact very quickly. It really does us no good at all.
This thread might be quiet but it's honest in that we don't know at the moment so sure to be quiet.

Agree with you, i don't know why people are expecting news today anyway, i thought if the 12th was the date that BVI have to complete the BFS then it would be after this date we will get updated. Possibly tomorrow if not next week! You can see on LSE there are so many short termer's waiting to press the button and move on which will be the best thing really and allow stability back into this, i reckon there will be additional news to follow the update but why bring that out whilst the vultures are hovering! Lessons learnt all round i think!

I think Today must have taught JT a few home truths.
1/ Never speak to individual shareholders on the phone. They will broadcast what they want and attribute it to you.
2/ Never tie yourself down to dates and always question the point of podcasts. If a company is doing well people get to hear about it fast anyway.
3/ There is an official channel for news.
4/ The damage done by misinformation triggered speculation always exceeds the possible gains.
