wst...if a punter waits until the dates are known, and every punter who is watching and waiting then decides to buy, clearly the share price will go up and those waiting will not be able to get as many shares at the cheap price it is (potentially) now. Therefore by waiting they will lose some bags, by buying early they just have their funds tied up a bit longer.

With the survey having been completed, the final permit expecting to be a formality, the rig having been sat on the nest for a month or so, that one must be ready to hatch and for the rig to move to e new nest, hopefully ours next, but has to be this season before licence expires or we need to go for an extension based on force majeure due to unusual weather patterns preventing the survey from being done.

Begorrah, you have also got to wonder how much money is waiting on the sidelines to see if Empyrean can actually secure a rig and a drilling slot, given they have confirmed there are no longer any permitting challenges! My guess is that only those with a very high risk tolerance or those stuck in here forever have already invested. There is likely to be a whole lot more in risk capital - available to chase a 1 in 3 GCOS ( according to Gaffney Cline) and 41% GCOS (according to EME)225mmbbl - 395mmbbl light oil prospect - once drill rig availability and an anticipated spud date becomes known! History has shown time and time again that the punters willing to bet on these type of drilling (GCOS vs mkt cap = IMPACT ON SUCCESS) increase as the lead up to drilling becomes more certain. Spudding a well of this impact brings on interest that is multiples over pre-drill levels because punting money is impatient by nature! Recent examples are Melbana on ASX and 88E on AIM/ASX. At US$70/bbl oil price - a discovery at Jade was probably worth about US$5 a barrel on discovery before appraisal, rising to US$10 after successful appraisal. At an oil price above US$100 per barrel, that discovery value is more likely US$7-8/ bbl. So, 49% of 225mmbbl x US$7/bbl gives you a 12 bagger with a company capped at US$60m. The punters I know love those odds. Personally, I would not be telling people to take a punt until the timeframes are known. But once they are known, then history is a great indicator of how this will play out! You should definitely wait….

The overhang will get swallowed up when the volume rises which it will when the drill bit starts turning.Perfect storm. Rising share price due to demand rising but also supply drying up.

Don't always agree with you but were going no where until this overhang presumably from placings, or larger holders selling some prior to drill, seems odd at this price but its been so long since eme had any decent price increase, 5 years since Sacramento and then it didn't flow.

Guess you either have faith or not, I have not sold any, hoped to cash a few in pre drill but not at this price, perhaps when spud date announced or Duyung happens, although that's been years.

After a quiet start, buys are flooding in.

We'll get another update once the final permit is granted. Maybe even this week. Hopefully the announcement will include the spud date.

I must admit that I'm somewhat disappointed that starzerus has gone on holiday but has not apparently chosen to go on a cruise.

As a result we've been deprived the opportunity to spend the next 2 weeks guessing which boat he's on.

do you not think its very odd that CORO / EME have appeared to be ready to issue updates, then it didnt happen... the warrant exercise, the cancelled investor shows.. what is going on
