17/1/2017 13:21 | You are assuming the donuts have any knowledge of Science, Engineering and Economics. No doubt they are happy to fly to distant destinations and drive motor vehicles. Live in homes using electricity generated by fossil fuels, as naturally they are anti nuclear. You cannot reason with people who have a medieval view of the world. | nextlink
17/1/2017 10:03 | well, they have had nearly a week now to ponder what went wrong. Time to update the market what they are going to do about it. Surely they will appeal? You have to wonder, on looking at the photos of the protesters waving their 'no fracking' boards about, that the Company failed to get across the facts about what the development is all about. | currypasty
12/1/2017 07:10 | The year of the unexpected vote result continues! They probably considered it a formality and it went awry. They seemed to put up a pretty lame defence. Very generic and not addressing specific points of opposition. | julcester
11/1/2017 21:30 | Based on my read of how the meeting went...it looks like a pretty poor job by Egdon in managing the process. How does a positive planning officers recommendation turn into a rejection within 20 mins despite having the support of the party with the majority in the council! | prettybullish
11/1/2017 16:16 | Egdon Resources plc (AIM:EDR) announces that the North Lincolnshire County Council's Planning Committee has today refused planning consent for the development of the Wressle Oil Field at Lodge Farm, Wressle, North Lincolnshire. At the same meeting the application for the installation of groundwater monitoring boreholes was approved. Mark Abbott Managing Director of Egdon Resources plc, said: "We are very disappointed by the decision of the Committee that goes against the positive recommendation of their Planning Officer which was determined after an extensive and thorough review of our proposals. Our business has been operating exploration and production sites in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner across the region for many years, engaging with communities, employing local people and investing in the local supply chain. We will now take time to consider our options including our right to bring forward an appeal." | currypasty

06/1/2017 16:14 | Perhaps it is hopes for Wressle that is moving the price. However the planning committee meeting has not yet been held (Jan 11th). | rogerlin
06/1/2017 15:59 | I think it is Third Energy at Kirby Misperton. EDR has so far stuck to conventional production, although its interests in unconventional are growing! | rogerlin
06/1/2017 15:02 | Heard fracking is going on 20 miles from Scarborough. Is it EDR. Oil price is up,maybe why rise in share price today | au24

21/12/2016 16:02 | Thanks whackford. We will have to be patient. It looks like there is going to be a drill at Brockham shortly, if they get any flow from the Kimmeridge limestones that will surely be positive for Holmwood. | rogerlin |
