LONDON (AFX) - Sir Michael Rake, chairman designate of BT Group PLC, is willing to look at the case for increasing gearing at the UK's leading telecoms group to fund future acquisitions, says the Financial Times, citing an interview with Rake. The current chairman of accountancy group KPMG told the paper that he predicted the company would make more acquisitions to cater for the telecom and IT needs of multinational corporations. BT's Global Services division, which helps business customers combine landline and data networks, has grown rapidly in recent years.
