21/5/2007 11:34 | In for a handful of these, hope it pays off.... | roks
20/5/2007 19:52 | Yes, should be good for Monday morning rise at least - let's hope a bit longer too South African IT services company Dimension Data caught some investors out when the dot com bubble burst in 2000. Shares were then 580p each and are now just 53p. But the group has survived the cull and is worth a second look. Its client list includes corporate heavyweights such as Google, BMW and Pfizer. Dimension Data also recently posted better than expected interim results with earnings up 50% and an improved profit margin. Alongside a compelling case in the figures, the firm is also growing internationally, with ventures in Africa and Australia proving a success so far. A buy for investors. | initiate
20/5/2007 17:42 | Nice mention for Dimension Data in the Sunday Telegraph......... Date: Sunday 20 May 2007 LONDON (ShareCast) - Dimension Data's impressive client list includes household names such as Google, BMW and Pfizer. What seems to be driving the growth is international expansion with Africa and Australia doing particularly well. Given the pace of globalisation, this growth should continue. BUY says the Sunday Telegraph. | stevi1111
18/5/2007 09:00 | srpactive, Thank's for the info on the " cup and handle chart info " I like the sound of that 60 p. target ! Cheers, spec2 | spec2
18/5/2007 08:58 | Santori, ben w, G.Nos. It seems that technology stocks are on the move, and I see DDT:LSE and of course it's "alter ego" DDT:JSE (which mimics it,) are shaping up quite nicely, what about seeing 70c again or 10 Rand for this "G.N. Donkey," that would do me nicely, With the time delay ( UK behind SA 1 hr, between GMT and CAT , I buy, or sell DDT:LSE just before close, when I see DDT.LSE move up or down, it has proved reasonably effective ! hence the "alter ego" description. Must watch my Ego though, and my Id ! Gentlemen keep posting any of your " interesting prospects " if you have any , that is ! Thankyou for your replies, spec2 | spec2
18/5/2007 08:47 | cup and handle formed, looking very strong now. 60p my target. dyor regards active | srpactive
18/5/2007 07:33 | spec2, it's been a donkey for sure, but the past is not necessarily a guide to the future, showing some technical strength now, tone is decent..not for me but good luck to you if you are in. re interesting prospects, i meant in a general sense really, i'm not sure if my tips would be of any use! | utsushi
17/5/2007 12:16 | Well Santori/ GN, Thanks for your comments, I was hoping you could elaborate on the " more interesting prospect's " I am of the typical equity investor, and I used to tell my broker, when I sell , he must buy, and when I buy , he must sell, and he made money ! I was joking, but the element of luck / gambling does come into the equation, and that's a fact. I now use internet based share trading for more instant trading , but miss chatting to my broker ! You can analyse till you are blue all over, but in respect to DDT.L I bought in 2 weeks and wating, who knows ! I see it's up above 53p today, Hmm ! Regards all, spec2 ( spec1) | spec2

16/5/2007 17:42 | Hi spec2, santori In my view there is no doubt this donkey is showing signs of like. This has risen some 40% in the last six months. I bought in late Sept 06 and have no intention as selling so-long as the upward trend continues. It may be faltering slightly but not enough to warrant selling just yet. I apprecaite there are better short term performers, but specifically what criteria are you using to identify the 'more interesting prospects'. This is not a challenge just interested in your view and generating discussion. Kind regards ben w | ben w
16/5/2007 09:39 | Santori, Quite so ! Thank-you for your reply, what might be those interesting prospects ? I guess that's " sub judicae " but I have to ask. spec1 | spec2
14/5/2007 12:21 | spec1, a donkey rarely turns into a race horse!..shrek 3 might be more entertaining. never say never..business is always in a state of flux..but more interesting prospects elsewhere..i can see no reason to buy. | utsushi
11/5/2007 13:28 | Santori, You echo my sentiments entirely, I remember when you sold sometime back, as I did. What if this Donkey can make a comeback, what if ? What's your take on an uptick ? Funny one this one, reasonable results and it drops ! Could be a buying opportunity, HA HA ! | spec1

09/5/2007 07:55 | How can they justify not proposing an interim dividend after these excellent results? | bastide
09/5/2007 07:37 | dont all buy at once..i'm so glad i sold this one a while back.. | utsushi

30/4/2007 13:12 | Well the title of the thread says it all.....donkey. Anyone any ideas what's up with it so close to results? Shorters? If so will it recover when they cover? | le mass du pap
27/4/2007 09:28 | I'm concerned about the weakness in the last couple of days. Rapid fall in an otherwise strong market makes me think there might be a reason for the fall. If I had to guess I'd say that this is being heavily shorted before results. Support at 48? | hervey |
