Looks like the usual culprits are bailing out for their 15%

Old news. Don't care. Focused on the upcoming interims and some meaningful project updates.

Thoughts on Baybak?

Consultants Michael Baybak & George Duggan, both scientologists, have been associated with some unsavoury penny stock promotions over the years.

"Post 1361" refers to your post so why not just say you made the point. Or are you losing track of which account you've signed into.

Post 1361 makes a valid point. Stock promoter M.Baybak owned a 6% stake pre-IPO.
The company chose to use a character like Baybak to hawk their wares...not good.

Outlook

"....... With these measures in place, we are in the best position to preserve our significant cash balance, currently at US$14.4 million, while continuing to review possibilities for a trade sale or joint venture".

I would have hoped this will give us a clue that management have batten down the hatches and preserving the cash balance for new opportunities.

Well if we take out the £250k trades, buys and sells are about equal. No real reason for the share drop unless the mm's are short of stock, in which case the upward momentum of last week will return.

I certainly agree that there is that chart potential and optionality.

But there is also the evidence of mismanagement and cash burn to date which is why we are here.

Nice balance from you stocko , at present we are seeing a low level attempt to rumpy dumpy , now of course if the company release positive news of any kind around the 4/5p mark then this will fly to 15p plus overnight

Interims later this month will show the cash burn for H1 2013 and can be used to forecast the likely cash position at the end of 2013, which will be a lot closer to 2p than 4p.

One of the top two shareholders dumping stock, not the best news

May be worth researching the promoter here, Michael Baybak (held a 6% block pre-IPO)

Michael Baybak - Scientologist, financial advisor, and a promoter of many stock scams
hxxp://www.gooseberryfrauds.com/List10.htm

"What they do is hype the stock then sell shares until theres nothing left said John Campbell, who was director of one such stock where Baybak and other scientologists were linked.

Re: the forward statement on 2013 costs, I would add; "Forward statements are based on reasonable assumptions but actual results may differ materially from such statements".
Also other factors in addition to operating costs (i.e. investing) make up cash burn.

CDC have never been shy when it comes to spending, particularly corporate costs;

..................FY 2010.......FY 2011.......FY 2012
Directors/Staff -$476,110...-$1,171,205...-$1,300,025
Administrative: -$665,164.....-$827,027.....-$417,595
Consultant fees -$850,000.....-$485,500.....-$636,677
Travel & fun: undisclosed.....-$201,858.... -$162,979

4.4p in cash plus everything else. They are only burning £750k a year.

Look where all MMs are now CDC

one left at 3p.

Then 3.25p, 3.3p, 3.4p, 3.5p. You know where this is heading!

Cash is declining rapidly. Given the burn rate cash should be zero within 6-9 months.

Looking very good and so it should considering the facts here

4.4p in cash
Stake in Crazy Horse Resources
Broker tgts 19p without Bassay and 131p with Bassay

All for under 3p.

Cash alone should be trading 4p-4.5p area, and thats without anything else.

About to break 3p. Only 1 MM left at 3p and the whooosh watch momentum traders start piling in and you can see why when you look at numbers here at CDC and huge upside with Bassay

stock- point taken but that rationale applies to virtually all junior resources companies on TSXV which have lost anything between 50%-80% of their value (as with AIM).
In the circumstances it is prudent to write down, even the biggest FTSE miners are doing so RIO for example, so all the bad news is in the share price
On the other hand it will take just one trigger to re-rate the stock
and if copper/gold come back into fashion, which they will, the written off value will be all jam
