I don't know much about PJ, but I must say I find the metal tiger situation very weird. I don't own any Metal Tiger. I find PJs behaviour very strange. By this I mean his constant tweeting etc about all his personal share purchases. It's a little tacky for want of a better word and I am a little surprised the prof entertained the likes (especially after the Kenglo error, which they will admit was a huge error in judgement). I don't have a clue what's going on at Metal as I don't really follow them. With regard CGNR, I suspect there is a large amount of lower level interest in the company and their ground. Let's face it Conroys ground is large enough to accommodate a number of junior explorers. But then we don't need that and it probably wouldn't serve best interest here. There is bound to be juniors looking to pick up exploration ground from conroy for a few pound. But it is ingrained in the prof never to entertain that, given his failure to secure surrounding ground back in the Galmoy days (lisheen). We need big money quickly. Surely with Seamus Fitzpatrick on the board they will have the ability to fashion some sort of deal to take this forward.

Indeed Goldeneye. Every RNS leads to a "ho hum" and share price decline. He needs to get on with doing a deal to hand the project on to someone who can make a fist of it, for whatever that may mean for CGNR long suffering shareholders. Anything has no be better than the death by 20 years of a thousand cuts. I just want to see the acreage in capable hands so that if there is a viable project there, someone brings it to fruition for the benefit of the area/locals. CGNR have been a total disaster for that prospect.

Interesting points, ad1967mc. The share price is now lower than even MTR's rock bottom get-in price. I didn't get annoyed with the constantly declining share price for a long time. I eventually got fed up. My investment is lost but now I'm beginning to wonder if the company has a future at all. We all knew the consolidation was merely a means of setting up newbies for a whole new cycle of dilutions and placings etc but is there anybody left who'll fall for it yet again? Maybe Conroy is doing something in the background. What that might be I have no idea but it better be soon, I think. Edit: In the interest of balance I should say the price of gold is not helping either (although its influence on 90%+ losses is negligible. Lol)

The 2Moz figure needs to be put into context. That's the likely minimum reserve required for a major to invest in a new mine. That doesn't stop a major doing an exploration JV deal. CGNR have done enough work to demonstrate the potential upside (with caveats - hence the stock price). IMO it's the Profs unwillingness to cede control that's the real blocker to progress.

True 4marlin, I think that's why the share price has dropped even more since the presentation last week.

It has been said that they need to come up with a 2m oz deposit to be of interest to majors. And just how are they going to do that?

No apologies needed KevJones2, I know where you're coming from because I've been there, not here but elsewhere. I'm sorry if my comments cause offence they are not intended to, I very much dislike what I see here in terms of useless management ripping investors off but it happens in the stock market and particularly Aim. It is painful when we're on the wrong end of it but, if the underlying asset is good, it usually turns at some point. Time is money, however, who wants to wait years for a company to come good? I used to buy and hold the old way a few years ago but I don't do that any more and thank goodness. I have learned to quit and take a loss early when it isn't too painful and move on if I've made a bad decision...it's much easier to see things objectively from the outside and it's often possible to re enter when (if) the tide turns. I'm in here at ~22p and I'm already closeish to my exit point, yes I will take a loss if I don't see some signs of change. But I see potential and I see ways it could happen. They might not suit the prof I have never met him, I hear he's a nice bloke but that's irrelevant, I've met Paul Johnson who many people hate but I think is ok and I think change might happen as a result of his introduction of MTR to the co. I hope the outcome here is to the benefit of all holders, long and recent.

They're only poorer if they sell, Goldeneye, but I agree with you management are not managing just drawing salaries and exes. It will change imo but not from us whingeing on boards. M/cap only 2m, someone should do the decent thing.

Are management asleep here. It's not acceptable for management to say they cannot understand why the share price is so poor. There is a serious public perception issue that needs to be addressed....I am not seeing this at the moment. The potential here is very big. I am surprised, especially given S Fitzpatrick's association that some deal has not yet materialised. The poor shareholders are even poorer.

I posted this on the LSE CGNR bb and on the LSE MTR bb (the latter included a little further commentary): "Wow. I find myself in a bit of a quandary. I find it very to believe that cowboy Johnson invested in CGNR 6 months ago (was it 6 months?) and then decided last night to rail against Conroy about issues any half-decent large investor would have already known about BEFORE investing - I believe it's called "due diligence" or some such term. I know Johnson has done a runner from MTR and its ever-dropping share price but nobody can tell me he was so incompetent as to not know the answers to the very questions he was asking last night. It is for that reason I think the whole thing was staged. If not, Johnson is indeed the worst large investor in the history of investing. However, (and this is where my quandary lies) given that it was an appalling lack of due diligence on Johnson's part that led to MTR investing in a company they obviously knew very little about (otherwise why the questions last night) then I have to note that Johnson's questions were almost identical to the very same questions I (and in fairness, Goheavy) have been asking for years here (Goheavy was asking these questions long before me but I, and others, disregarded them - some still are). So, I wonder which is it? Were the questions staged, or was MTR's investment done with an appalling lack of due diligence? Regardless, even CGNR's latest large investor is asking the same questions I've been asking for two years here. Now, there's a quandary!"

Cheers 4marlin. I can understand Johnson's frustration, the thing is he can do something about it, or at least if he acts with o'Sullivan he can, whereas pi's can just be frustrated. For now.

What do you mean, 4Marlin, have MTR reduced? Or are you assuming they don't see a way forward, if so I would have thought it was maybe a bit early to give up.

Looks like Metal Tiger starting to see the light...as did Pageant, Kenglo and many of us. Very predictable.

Net current liabilities around E1.3m and that's after E1m placing in May. Expect another stonking placing soon. Maybe even tomorrow? IMHO.
