As you well know the sale process is being run by an Investment Bank in the way these processes are conducted. Indicative bids are obtained and then in the second stage of the process firm bids should follow. The cost of an indicative bid will be what they spend on due diligence. One of the Chinese companies has spent 8 days in Nicaragua.

What, really, is an indicative bid?An expression of interest verbally? An expression of interest in writing? Presumably nothing contractual or binding? Is there any cost at all to make an indicative bid?

In one of Mark’s recent interviews in the last week or so he said the 4 companies showing indicative bids were 2 TSX companies and 2 Chinese.

I would be surprised if Calibre weren’t one of the 2 TSX companies that have shown interest in bidding. It would be very surprising if Calibre weren’t very interested in buying the mine next door. They have all the management in place and could start trucking from Condors site almost immediately.

Best thing in our favour is that calibre shares have recovered strongly and they have the knowhow of the country
I agree our bargaining power is very low till we own all land
Even exploiting la Mestiza will bring challenges as many miners access their work using the only road that gives access to la mestiza too. They will need to use horses instead once la mestiza starts producing gold, so cnr may need to compensate the owner, or built a road, or both things. Building a road may not be cheap.
Everything has a price, the key question is: would miners accept a only cash offer (higher that what they originally asked: $6000 x 180) or still want a chunk of la mestiza

Why should Calibre agree to a toll deal? If all goes pear-shaped they could pick-up the assets for pea-nuts.
I would not be surprised if they are playing it cool and sitting n their hands at the moment.

Does book5 really think that CNR would be conducting the current sale process with 4 bidders so far if there was a problem with the land?
Book5 has been making statements about the land for years now and Mark has always said the land is not an issue. If there was a land issue then CNR would have to disclose it to the bidders. It seems that is not considered an issue by the bidders.

Only explanation for mc statements about the land is that the government has guaranteed to cnr they will issue cpos. It may be possible, but this share has became all or nothing
Cnr is scary for those who do not believe mc, and a bargain for those who believe in him
For the last few weeks greed is winning , hopefully all ends up well and cnr is sold above 80 million USA $
There is gold in the hills but land issue looks very messy to me.
In summary imho it is risky, careful

Did anyone go to the Master Investor Show in London yesterday? Both Mark and Jim Mellon were talking at separate presentations. Mark`s comments would be fairly predictable after his recent interviews, but Jim`s would be more relevant.

Apparently jimbo and Hannaman make all the decisions these days, mark is more like a curious sword bearing pet. But it doesn't actually matter what he says. Even though we pay him 200k +++ a year. And anyway any fool knows we own all the land.

Good week. Nice to be back in the 30s with gold above $2k.Videos make interesting viewing. I'm revising my expectations up from 50p. Mark mentions $120m and it feels like this may be his acceptable minimum. If a couple of parties remain interested, it could be a lot higher.I still think the whole company will be sold, probably part cash, part paper.
