Importantly it was not just any Indonesian investor.
It was a highly respected Indonesian business man who went on to be elected Trade Minister.

Surely a man of such calibre and ability would have known what he was doing when he paid 40p psh when they were only 25p for so many.

He would have also been an expert with the due diligence in his own back yard.

We had also already been through the Indonesian courts and he would have also scrutinized all of that paperwork too before parting with his money.

two very important facts why i think chl will win, there are many more but these two

1) Isran Noor was the one who took away our licenses, made alot of noise but refused on numerous occasions to be cross examined at tribunal.

2) Two indonesian investors paid 40p per share a premium when share price was 25p, this allowed us to challenge verdict. In a Third world country its easier to be in the know if you know the right people. $7m is a big investment..

There will be if they all set up aliases just for 1 liners .
Most of us here have been here for years and have discussed and digested together at every stage.

deb

Roi had to prove beyond reasonable doubt that forgery took place, reading the info available they have failed to do that.

I cant see how the tribunal can go in their favour. Obviously this is my opinion so i can be wrong.

But i think common sense will prevail.

If Churchill loose the forgery then there could be over 10 bans a day on this thread.

I have been looking around at what has been posted wherever I can find.
Its a good job most of us are fully researched.

I have seen multiple posts stating that if we win this round the $1.3b will be paid out as if it is immediate and in full ?

I have also seen posts saying it would not be worth holding out if we were only awarded Estoppel as the odds would not be high enough.
When a price for estoppel was discussed here when it was 1st mentioned consensus seemed to be £1
I know we did not buy our shares in the hope of only getting £1
Suppose though that the shares opened at 10p and you sold.
Others could then buy the shares for a 10 bagger so they would creep up again perhaps settling back to 30 -50 as the finish line became clear.

Personally I think we deserve no less than 100% clear blk and white win which Im sure we all hope for.

I am watching when I can and am aware of who is who.
Expect the thread to go manic soon and all sorts of alias accounts will be opened just for 1 liners.
If I think it will help I will moderate or ban .
I have to appear to be fair so please longtermers no name calling

MrPJ

I doubt very much that a win would see £1 let alone £1.50 (though I would be a happy camper if it did) and ROI would be mad to settle for as much as half of the headline figure. Similarly, a loss will no doubt take us well into single figures but no way is it going to take us to 1/2p. This is no longer as binary as people think, IMO.

=============================

Lose

Why is it not simply a binary bet now IF we lose the shares will be worthless nobody is going to invest AGAIN in CHL to spend another 5 years trying to recover £40/50m quid, the maths just don't had up

==============================

Win

IF they lose the forgery case what do they have left?.....our claim is for £1.3b why would we after 5 years accept around 20% on that claim your assumptions just don't make any sense

Ps ....I didn't "bet" £6000 on a 5/2 shot

On a +ve verdict I am convinced it would open above £1 and settle around £1.50 before a steer is given on quantum.

The current price has no bearing on value, the price is where it is because the market makers have made a market in a binary share that you are either convinced will appreciate in value, or not, as the case may be. The movements up or down represents a significant opportunity to trade, in or out on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

The chl share is worth whatever it would be in the worst case scenario, which i have said before is 2p, at this point nobody would disagree, because most in a survey would put a 2p valuation in the event of a loss on the forgery case.

In an other place the author, in their ignorance had an apoplectic fit when i dared to suggest a 2p value, that same author would'nt disagree now?
Yes of course i understand there would be life in the claim thereafter, but it would be a long wait and no where near the value of a win.

I bought at various levels for a £6-£8 verdict, which i still hope for, preferably via a settlement not an icsid award, an ooc settlement is instant payment, an qward would entail employing others to collect our money which would further drain the award.

They got 1/2 day tomorrow.
When they said " expect in 2 weeks" they knew there was a holiday inbetween so I expect them to have worked out how to work round it .
