03/3/2017 15:46 | I am broadly an income investor too, but I do not ignore the capital position. I am looking for shares and funds that will give me both capital gain and income. | rcturner2
03/3/2017 15:34 | WJ, That sums it up nicely. The status quo would also suit me perfectly - the shorters can tie up their money here whilst we earn a very high interest rate on our investment. Win-Win for us, as they say. | jaf1948
03/3/2017 15:24 | RCT thats ok we don`t mind, would not bother me if the share price stayed at current level for the next 5 years as long as the divi was paid. its just somewhere to park 63k pointless leaving it in the bank. WJ. | w1ndjammer
03/3/2017 14:57 | The hedge funds will not be closing their shorts any time soon. | rcturner2
03/3/2017 13:55 | WJ - I am glad that all those howling beasts seem to disappear for a change! I believe those shorters will still be around until few weeks before the XD day. In the meantime, I am happy to enjoy collecting the share dividends and watch the share price improves slowly and steadily. Absolutely not a problem! Have a nice week end WJ. | kcsham
03/3/2017 13:10 | one of the value investors like will spot this soon they have recently taken 14% of CWD which has been bashed down. that would force the shorters into panic. WJ. | w1ndjammer
03/3/2017 13:02 | KC agree they are struggling to hold this down now WJ. | w1ndjammer
03/3/2017 13:00 | 24.3% now on the above 0.5 % tracker thats up again from last week must be well over 30% all in now. looks like they are playing follow the leader. WJ. | w1ndjammer
03/3/2017 12:55 | Looking at the trading records today and yesterday, it is obvious shorters are still in action with extraordinary high quantities of shares changing hands. However, there is stronger buying force out there and the shorters start losing their grip on controlling the share price I believe the situation is a so far so good for our holders. | kcsham

03/3/2017 09:37 | Another positive announcement from Carrilion and the share price rises.SHORTERS ???? | ch1ck
03/3/2017 09:26 | re 4139 This_is_me, You can always ask for certificated stock. It has a number of advantages for example if your broker goes bust there is no risk to you on certificated stock, you receive the annual report and all other communications directly and of course your broker cannot lend the stock out. Some brokers insist that certificated stock is transferred to their nominee company prior to executing a sale but dealing T10 will usually cover that delay. Apologies for off topic but if every holder asked for a cert the shorts would know it soon enough. | bolador
02/3/2017 16:27 | It would be a brave person (or a fool?) who would predict where the share price goes after the last 2 days. So here goes ... :) On the Dubai contract. Good news but as I said earlier, CLLN's margins in M East are sub 3% so hope this is better! | m4rtinu
02/3/2017 14:59 | Carillion just been awarded new $600m Dubai expo contract. In the news today (well, when I say news I mean the Daily Fail). | my2penneth
02/3/2017 13:41 | speed - keep on digging, the news coming in sound to be quite positive. Well done! | kcsham

02/3/2017 12:19 | Added yesterday, looks oversold, divi ok, just one to tuck away. | ny boy
02/3/2017 11:59 | The idea of a stock market is to find the price that some people are prepared to buy and others to sell. "You pays your money and takes your choice" The thing that gets me angry about shorting is the institutions that lend shares that they have no economic interest in to shorters for a fee and pocket the fee. This is to the detriment of those who think they own the investments. My solution is to have a personal membership of CREST (via Charles Stanley Direct) which means that my shares are held directly on the share register and can't be lent out. | this_is_me
02/3/2017 11:36 | Yes, edmund. Liberal amounts of salt have to be taken with these broker comments. | speedsgh |
