red, they may buy and sell, but that is equivalent to long trading, and trading has a low success rate. Hedge funds proper should be coming up with something more sophisticated...

They also buy/sell shares. They can cover their costs of holding shorts in these trsdes.

Ch1ck post 3912 - sadly shorters pay dividends rather than receiving them. A cut in dividend is what they want. This share has been shorted down all the way from around 380p. This very fact discourages most people from investing.

m4tinu - thanks for you action, it is a good start. This will give the Authority a handle to start looking into the issue. Well done!

WJ - please extend your price prediction up to 300.00 or little over, I really like to know when I can start taking my profit. In 3 to 5 months time?

Spoole5 - I believe that is what shorters had done in then last week or so, but I am doubtful that they will continue to do this at a time so close to the day of result announcement.

looks like we have 10 shareholders all holding around 5% each these all have
and average holding above 300p

It seems only Black rock who have a 8.81% holding are part of the short crew
obviously acting as an hedge they are short 3.92% so effectively 4.9% long

there has been a progressive divi now for over 18 years can`t see it being cut

I'm averaged at 2.35, would have bought some more if we saw 2 quid before weds. Doesn't look like will happen now.

Or they could just open up new short positions to take the price down further.

I'm massively into these now, any shorters should be reevaluating their position. A dividend cut would be a double whammy for them as its already in the share price and means they would not be compensated as much for holding on to them if the price was to rise.It will be a domino effect with any shorters switching to buy will have a massive impact

will be impossible to wind down short positions of 25% though. Any meaningful buying and mm's sensing the shorters want to cover will see a massive bear squeeze.

It would a bloodbath on Wednesday unless the shorters are satisfied with what they got and retreat before result day. Which party will be the victim? It has to be seen. Down side should be limited and upside could be 30p plus.
