Agree drop looks harsh although some of this may be around earnings visibility. the divi has been increased but headline margins have compressed. unless there are some reasonable exceptionals, this puts further earnings growth and dividend growth at risk. would have been nice if management had made a comment on this. without it, you wonder if this is hope over plan.

4% fall is a bit harsh.(BMS always volatile) Not as good as CKN but a P/E of just under 10 and yield of nearly 6% and rising seems good value for a company which gives good exposure to growing foreign currency earnings.

Please be carefull guys comparing CKN & BMS as 'like for like'.
BMS has a more diversified business portfolio than CKN.

Must say the chart looks favorable for a rise to previous recent highs before results.

CKN has risen further taking the discount here to more like 25%. Looks to be signs of turning, though. Time to have a go at £6?

I have been watching the differing share performances Aleman, sold out of Clarkson and bought in here, hoping for a rise up to results.

CKN still moving up. CKN up 20% since beginning of MArch. BMS up 3%.

Yes, Clarkson now trading on just four times forecast earnings after net cash !

A bargain price to a potential acquirer.

Bit surprised at the lack of movement here after CKN's stonking results.

spoke to a mate of mine who is a tanker broker tonight. asked him if anything wrong with BMS - no to the contrary he thought A Marsh was doing well in the S+P side. so i continue to hold.

Hi Aleman..on my first flight to Dubai about time of Iraq war, my Emirates plane flew over Iranian airspace. At about 3am, perfect sky, I looked down from ? 35000 feet and for at least an hour, I saw very bright lights on the ground ? every couple of miles ... these apparently were the gas being burned off while Iran was only interested in the oil and not the gas. I would have loved to see these at ground level

www.zerohedge.com very good for this sort of info lately...apparently the Germans have 3 warships off the coast of Libya!!

Curt
The BDI is certainly not helping matters at the moment.
I guess the Somalian pirates have now got most of the stock - must be becoming a problem for them to administer all the ransom negotiations. Wouldn't be surprised if they hire BMS to broker the deals - now that would be a coup!
I'm sure the price will find support soon & don't forget the dividend.

Obviously price affected by IMS this am.

I guess we have to wait & see what develops based on this remark from the statement....

"The Group has a significant number of newbuildings as well as second hand vessels delivering in the next few months and the results for the year will depend in part on the timing of these deliveries."

Price marking time but if CKN is anything to go by then we may well see a lift soon. If not I think we at least have an underpinning at this level.
