Hopefully this can crack on to £6 and beyond. Net cash, growth, yield and China still growing like billio, all should be supportive IMO

A nice little piece in Tanker Operator today
"Braemar to develop Singapore tanker chartering operations
(Sep 17 2010)
Braemar Seascope is to expand its chartering activities in Singapore by moving into the deepsea clean and dirty products tanker trades.
A sale and purchase desk is also planned for Singapore at a later date.

BMS - yep, not really that affected by the Baltic index as a guide to how they are doing but those following shipping lump all the shipers together most of the time and it's more a sentimen think imo.

I think that's why CKN were off so much yet their results were stunning - sentiment over sanity imo.

CR - thanks for taking the time to reply. I have to be more of a value man than a momentum guy as the day job keeps getting the way but I like the logic you lay out. Not sure that BMS' actual results are that sensitive to BDI but as ever there's no telling the market.

onehandedeconomist - I've been in and out of BMS many timnes in the past 10 years, even more so in CKN. BMS for me is a stock to buy on the lows when the Baltic Dry Index is rising and rake profits at the highs on the chart trend if the Baltic looks to be weakening.

I'd keep hold of BMS beyond the high trend if the Baltic stayed firm or rose. It's clear most investors are still very nervous and until that changes I guess the profit taking will keep happpening on the highs but these and CKN are so cheap that once confidence in a global upturn sets in both will do great imo. Bioth have regularly beaten expectations time and time again, both great cash positions and low PE's. Divi's of 4-5%, PE's of around 7 in reality but as soon as confidence in the market fully returns both of these will re-rate imo. I think a strong year end rally for the markets is on the cards myself.

Been watching these for a while and bought a few today as tide appears to be turning and if CEO is prepared to add I guess he thinks so too.

Bought back in today - CKN results were stunning - must be a good read across for BMS.

Baltic Dry rising sharply again too.

But chart begining to look a bit sick. However, small cap, less traded stocks don't play the chart game quite as tightly as the big boys. so no panic just yet.

Thanks. Nice to get a straight forward answer!

Technically, BMS is at a really interesting point here. Just about on its long term rising support line so if the share price falls further, it could signal a big drop. However, I think the fundamentals are just too good and more likely it should bounce from here really quite strongly as others realise that this is now a cheap stock.Happy to hold and even add a bit.
