Does he mean in addition to the 10 years the Bank has had so far to 'turnaround'.
What a complete plonker these CEOs are and Staley seems like one of the worst.

"I feel it is important that I acknowledge to you, our shareholders, that I made a mistake in becoming involved in an issue which I should have left to the business to deal with. I have apologised to the board and would today like to apologise to you as well for that error."

-he's talking about when he signed his employment contract, right?

• Seeing off a shareholder rebellion, Barclays (NYSE:BCS) CEO Jes Staley has been re-elected to the board after apologizing over his recent mistakes, while shares closed almost 2% higher on the news.
• Not for long? Shortly afterwards it emerged that the bank will pay more than $97M to settle charges it overbilled clients at its asset management business.

"the group is still trading at a 40% discount to book value. Eliminating this discount is our number one priority near-term"

The only way to achieve this meaningfully imo is to eliminate the branding by breaking the business up and selling its components.

From the AGM presentation "the group is still trading at a 40% discount to book value. Eliminating this discount is our number one priority near-term" - nice to see, tells us that they are working towards a £3.30 share price in the short term. Would be good to see that before the AGM next year....
