18/11/2012 09:37 | He warned, though, that Europe could fall behind America and China in the development of unconventional gas. Last week, the International Energy Agency said the US could become a net exporter of oil and gas by 2017 as it had discovered major reserves of shale gas. "My concern is that around Europe the gas demand is growing so fast that Europe might be left behind," he said. | lammergeier
17/11/2012 19:02 | F.T buy rec for Aurelian. from iii discussion... JungleVIP | johncraven
17/11/2012 18:59 | Maybe Tosca will continue buying SLE however its not just Tosca its Blackrock and others now | johncraven
17/11/2012 17:12 | Clearly Tosca, which holds a 28% stake in AUL, is not happy to end up with less than 10% of the combined group. It is buying SLE shares; but what weighting does it want of expanded SLE? Well, to get to 15% of SLE it will have to buy another 60 million shares. But, what's the magic number? 12%, 15%,20%??? | paperclip3
16/11/2012 15:40 | Tosca bought sle yesterday and hold around 15 million shares. They definitely like the deal. It seems they do not want to cross 30% holding in AUL but comfortable increasing their stake in sle. Anybody have suggestion on this. | naithani
16/11/2012 15:40 | Tosca now buying SLE. lol Very interesting times ahead and a multibagger in the making as a partnership. | johncraven

16/11/2012 12:02 | jasper - yeah, but politicians never go back on their word do they?! With enough pressure and "spin" on what fracking is and how it's now environmentally friendly, will soon get him to change his mind and backtrack. I can imagine something along the lines of: "Our economy is screwed, France cannot be left behind, we are therefore going to allow limited fracking in certain regions, which will be overseen by government body A, and environmental group C (in the pockets of energy lobbyists), to ensure this is done correctly" but in french :-) | jiggle
16/11/2012 11:45 | ",President Francois Hollande has pledged to retain a French ban on fracking, which was adopted by lawmakers last year after energy companies were granted licenses to explore for shale gas in France." | jasper2712
16/11/2012 11:45 | New Tech - Interesting. See how that progresses. | johncraven
16/11/2012 10:39 | AUL holders might be interested to learn that France, where SLE have nine licenses pending under a joint venture with Conocco Phillips, seems to be moving towards a resumption of shale gas exploration. France along with Poland is generally regarded as having the largest shale oil/gas resources in Europe. This in itself could be a company maker. Refer my Post 10733: I hope you all come aboard. Good luck. | new tech

16/11/2012 10:14 | This is going to be a good MEDIUM term investment forget the short term with the fiscal cliff, christmas and the changes in China I am going to hang on to my AUL (soon to be SLE) through thick and thin. | parsons |
