A model manufacturer named Trofeu have released a fine model of a Rally Ford Sierra all decked out in the Andrews Heat for Hire Logo

Andrews were huge sponsors of Russell Brookes and his Rally Team driving Ford Escorts, Lancia Opel and the like all in the Andrews Heat for Hire Colours
Great little models ...

Looks like we are going to be sidswiped by some steamy weather this week. All of you lads iin the south will see temperatures up to 25-28C by Tuesday/Wednesday, possibly a 30C. Sur la Continent there could be temps of 34 to 38C, so at the very least, the European depots are going to be busy. Not going to last though, but at least it's a taster.

Deep Joy ...!

Still, as an ASY holder ,any extreme of weather is welcome

See 500 LSC were bought today ,guess "The Family" are picking them up.
IMHO

I'm afraid it's slipped south. Yup, it's not looking good, certainly for 10 days or so and probably longer. Still, by then we'll be looking forward to winter.

Some weather forecaster named Leon Brown 0f The Weather Channel (or something like that)is predicting a month of wet and windy conditions as the Jet Stream slips south !

Just thought. Even though it looks like they'll be paying out a bit more for the pension this year, that will be more than offset (probably) by ther lack of share buybacks this year. Over 800k spent last year.

Only just noticed there was a trade today during the 11.00 auction.

I guess its a persistent seller/buyer attempting to trade what he thinks the market will take each day without moving the price too much (my guess it's a seller). Checked with my broker at 13.30 and there were no trades on the SETSqx order book as yet today.

Yes each auction is independent but I believe un-matched trades in an auction would would carry forward to the next 1 until the order is cancelled.

Think I get that. However, it doesn't really explain why there seems to be someone selling at between 2700 and 2900 shares everyday for 2 weeks. Never seen this before, and why the same number? Is each daily auction completely independent? These must be connected in some way, cant be pure fluke that each trade is almost identical.

Keith,

Just to clarify the info I gave last week related to SETS stocks which trade in real time with additional Opening and Closing auctions.

Keith,

It's because ASY is a SETSqx stock. These stocks have auctions at Opening, 11.00, 15.00 and Closing.
So the trades you are observing are matched trades during the 15.00 auction.

ie. Someone enters a Sell order on the order book at 14.30 say 1000 @ 246, then at 14.45 someone offers to buy 2000 at 246. When the auction opens at 15.00 a trade of 1000 at 246 occurs.

This all occurs outside of the conventional market making process.

But in answer to your question today it's both a buy and sell at the same price ie 246p.

.....and why is it always 2500-3000?....everyday. Are they sells or buys, or what?

Everyday this week there has been a UT trade posted at 1500 around 2500 to 3000 and always at the bid price. What's all that about?.......doesn't seem to affect the price much either. Noticed the odd one before but not everyday.

They may be able to help from the Dutch/Italian/german depots but its hard to tell how much. Regarding our weather. looks like the fine weather lasting through to early next week then there will be some rain around during the rest of the week but winds going round to the south/southwest which means it'll be pretty warm at times too with some nice days, especially in the south. Not too bad for asy with a reasonable first couple of weeks of June, much better than last year.

Keith,

All on track for a good week with temperatures reaching 25C in places later in the week (as per, of course!). Lot of doubt after that but there are indications that it could be nice the following week despite all the doom and gloom we've been hearing. There are some odd models (10%) that are giving the possibility of some really hot weather towards the middle of June. Anyway, a good week this week and a fair chance of good weather next week, which will more than equal all the nice weather we had last year. Will update.

Today should be pretty warm, possibly the odd place up to 23C. A fair weekend but not overly warm, then a good start to next week with temps 19-22C. An increasing chance of thundery showers during the week but with temps up to 23C in parts of the south. Gradually becoming cooler later in the week. All in all not a bad start to the summer, probably the warmest week we have had so far. Not sure after that, will post.

Sorry Keith,

Basically during the start (07.55-08.00) and end of day (16.30-16.35) auctions any matched trades placed during those auctions occur at the uncrossing price which is the price that allows the maximum number of shares to be bought/sold)

If during an auction someone wanted to Sell 1000 at 99p and another wanted to buy 1000 at 101 an uncrossing trade would occur at 100p. If the spread during the day had been 95p-105p you can see it would beneficial to both parties.

Not sure thats improved matters :-)
