Well, my dividend is even more strange

I got £157.14p for 5238 shares @ 3p (shares held 24th Sept)

I got £821.10 for 5474 shares @ 15p (shares held on 29th Sept)

I bought 236 more shares on 25th Sept to get the number held, at the right multiple to get all new shares (using about the div I was expecting)

So I didn't get the 3p on the extra shares I bought but I did get the 15p special div on them.

Very Strange and the one combination (I don't think) was not suggested by this BB when we were arguing about it, when it was announced

No special treatment from Hargreaves Lansdown. The funds go into a separate account (Income and loyalty bonus). This caught me out before and you can transfer to your trading account to withdraw or invest.

wipo1

Thanks all is well apart from the share price. Will probably be transferred just before end of trading today.

Are you dealing with the same H-L as me, or do you get special treatment?

Anyone got their Divi's yet? Got mine from HL but not from selftrade as yet. That's on of the reasons HL is the best broker out there. They also do instant payments back to bank account unlike other brokers who take 3 working days.

I would hang in there Bob, no bad news that we know of 300p support still intact.

I suppose a take over offer is our only salvation in near term?

If they can keep the dividend for at least a year(paid out of earnings) then the share price must reflect this, and go back up

If the share price represents a falling div because the earnings won't cover the old div then the share price should stay low, and lower.

Bob looks like we are clinging onto 300p suppprt. The yield not much use if we are down 3pc on one day on no news.

The low now is the same as the low in May, could it bounce back up again?

What is the yield at today's price (if they keep the same div, a big if)

This would be a good time for Alent to start their share buyback which is one of their priorities most of the others they have already fulfilled announced back in 2013.http://www.alent.com/system/files/financialdocs/Corporate-Presentation-December-2013.pdf Cash utilisation priorities Dividend Acquisitions Special dividend Share buyback

Thanks Bob, it's a bit less stressfull being mostly in cash. I have been mostly cash for while so guess I missed a few on the up but don't know if I would have sold them. Alent hammered today again all cyclcial stocks sold off. I am not tempted to buy anything atm. Good luck.

Wipo, what a lovely position to be in, 90% in cash

I hope you don't get tempted by the low SPs around, It's so easy to say, I'll have some of that, it they get half way back to pre sell off days, in a couple of weeks, I can sell and increase my cash by 20%

Hi wipoLooks like you had 1603 shares and they converted this to 1533 using 1603*22/23=1,533.304347826087 and gave you the .30434 as 97p (3.19*0.30434=0.97) I had assumed from reading the blurb that it was going to done differently and that you would have got 1518 new shares And money for the 16 remaining shares.

Rabbar - I now have 1533 shares, I can't even remember the exact amount before ex-dividend, share split thing tbh, I think it was 1601 not sure though! lol

Wipo1Was that for the fractional entitlement? If so how many shares did that amount to and were there any dealing charges levied - sounds like a ripoff.

Yes clever bob I got a corporate action note from my broker and got 97p lol thought it was pounds at first. Allent has held up not too bad in this market. The dividend should cover most of my paper loss. Markets brutal at present, even though I am 90pc cash it is annoying watching the few stocks I do have going down! Could be worse I suppose.
