Tescos dont as far as I am aware buy the stuff. They take it on consignment.Whatever does not get sold goes back.

Alba & Bush brands have never been associated with quality as far as I'm aware. they were always cheap budget brands. People used to buy them when the top brands were too expensive. However, Goodmans was a quality brand as far as loudspeakers were concerned. The problem with our Alba Group is all the supermarkets are at it with their own branded cheap electrical items....even Sainsburys offer CD players etc under their own Red name. Asda use the Pacific and Dual brand.....even Argos.. a big customer of ABA is having dvd players and micro systems branded for them by Acoustic Solutions, at knockdown prices, this is bound to have an impact on ABA. Tesco are buying huge blocks of Alba/Bush kit and selling it for next to nothing...it's almost like Alba's dumping ground for bankrupt stock. I dread to think what the profit margins are after the retailer has had it's cut. Alot of the stuff I see out there is the old analogue tv's and other obsolete Alba kit. Not much Alba/Bush stuff seems to be digital as far as tv's are concerned.
I think Alba needs a re-think!

Remember the old saying turnover is vanity profit is sanity.
They can turnover a billion but if they are selling at a loss what is the point.
They need an enormous profit simply to service interest at the moment.

On the plus side Tesco.com has the Bush 14'' TV combo under the best seller banner at £164.94. Things may not look great at the moment, but Alba has many well known brands, and things can change for the better.

Will probably bob along at this level for a while, I find it hard to see where good news will come from to lift it.However can see plenty of bad news coming.

90 odd million in debt wow what interest are they paying. Even at 5% base thats over 100,000 grand a week thats in the region of 600,000 items needed to be sold to cover interest payments a week. In a weak consumer market with competion from the majors nipping away at margins how can this company survive.

People may choose to buy for the dividend as they have said that will be maintained.
