11/2/2006 10:11 | BSL have consensus eps of 18p which covers dividend 1.5 times. They have a sharp rebound pencilled in for 2007,which looks over optimistic to me. Given sector is very mature 10 times earnings for a struggling business looks reasonable, but marketsaren't rational ;-) | madgooner
11/2/2006 10:03 | Unless sales start rising and margins start improving this company will haemmorage cash at an alarming rate. There really is no reason why in mid Febuary either will happen. Christmas is the make or break time for retailers they have not got any new innovative products that other companies are not making better they hardly have exciting management, it is family controlled. Unfotunately I missed the opportunity to short however I made a bit on the upswing more by luck than judgement I was away when it shot up to a fiver and I sold my holding that I bought at 3.50 not a large amount but it paid for my holiday (I thought this was a bottom for a while till christmas figures came out at least, I was so wrong)got to keep looking at the bigger picture (No pun intended) | 6085544
10/2/2006 22:12 | Two days of heavy hits usually results in a bounce so maybe monday will be better. | superbarnet
10/2/2006 17:53 | phew glad i didnt buy. Is this haemmoraging cash and bleeding to death???? | saltedcrab
10/2/2006 17:50 | Elsworth.... I'd have to disagree, I think this has seen the bottom for now!! That is without any further bad news of course, but I am probably wrong!! | adeyberry
10/2/2006 14:16 | this will be £4 with the blink of the eye - i just havent got free money to buy | jagxxx
10/2/2006 14:15 | The charts now are pointing south...and clearly, there is NO reason why it should stop dropping!! I can see this falling well beyond the 2002 £2.50 price, as i suggested yesterday....and the fall below £1 is now most probable. ...overall, best left alone and wait for the knife to hit the deck. Any direction change will be visible via the charts and general news flow....untill then......its a 70p/£1 entry for me. | elsworth
10/2/2006 11:47 | I spose I'm just gutted that I shorted this on many occasions and ended up at a loss overall........ My last was as it was bumbling along at £4 for a while, much to my horror off it went northwards and stopped me out shortly afterwards!!! But I always had a feeling a crash was on the cards, just shows you can't beat your instinct!! But my timing was just not quite spot on....... Never mind, we live and learn! | adeyberry
10/2/2006 11:23 | adeyberry, people prob just got in and took a 5 or 10% profit without knowing anything about aba. chart was pointing upwards. | declan2
10/2/2006 11:20 | I have to say I'm absolutely amazed who was buying this from the mid 300p's back at the end of last year, to take it all the way up to over 500p earlier this year?!?!?! Why?!?? I'm intrigued to find out what people were thinking, and the reasons behind their purchasing?? | adeyberry
10/2/2006 11:20 | plenty of room left £2.30 could be bottom | keelstow
10/2/2006 11:16 | Was gonna reopen my short this morning but saw it bounce and thought better of it!!!! Big mistake.......... | adeyberry
10/2/2006 11:10 | is this likely to fall further or a good entry point? | declan2
10/2/2006 09:50 | Add trailing stop!..very nice free bet... | madgooner
10/2/2006 09:30 | I have said it before and I will say it again. I have seen this stock rise and suddenly drop many times now. I feel someone is playing games with this one. Purely on fundamentals this stock is only worth circa £2. It is in what has become the most competitive consumer market. I can now buy a Philips TV/DVD etc for not a lot more than a Bush/ Alba one. The other worrying factor is that all their stock is sold on a consignment basis only paid for by the stores as they sell it. And what they were thinking about buying Grundig lord only knows, as bad a move as the internet TV fiasco. | 6085544
10/2/2006 08:54 | Should see a bounce today. | superbarnet
09/2/2006 20:11 | still no cheaper than a few months back how did it manage to rise to £5.15 ish so quickly | keelstow
09/2/2006 20:03 | It goes under £3.00 tomorrow! | sweetymonkey
09/2/2006 19:57 | Wal see post 85, now back in though. Looks like a tough year ahead for commodity distributors.. | madgooner
09/2/2006 17:53 | Looks like it should follow the downwards trend from here......most probabley break the £2.50 mark, before falling below £1 ....will wait for the moment | elsworth
09/2/2006 16:32 | mtg no worries,lol. | wal footrot
09/2/2006 16:29 | Somewhat gutted, got stopped out recently!!!! | adeyberry
09/2/2006 16:13 | lol looks contrived to me. what was the rise all about? | wal footrot
09/2/2006 16:12 | Not likely lately ;o) Oh well. Back where I felt it should be when I was. Edit: Sorry - mg is presumably madgooner not me (at my age I have trouble remembering my name) | m.t.glass |
