08/12/2014 16:57 | NB....Nothing much has changed IMO....time scale is load of old BS....When you take into account the ICL plant should be up and running by now...they never gave a plausible explanation as to why no go....alarm bells starting ringing when that was shelved. WTF have they been doing its over 18 months since the electrode achieved 12 month longevity whats been going on since then, they just sitting around gazing out the window watching the Top gear crew thrash cars round Dunsfold track or what. | beeezzz

08/12/2014 07:54 | "I have been greatly impressed by the enthusiasm of AFC Energy's technical team to identify opportunities to fast track the delivery of the KORE and POWER-UP by reducing the expected time for operation of the 240kW KORE module by 18 months. I believe this demonstrates the strong drive and focus that exists within AFC Energy to see commercial-scale fuel cells operating in the global market place as soon as possible following conclusion of the pre-commercialisatio | purple11

04/12/2014 11:32 | Would you know why did PHE , the Powerhouse, slide from 24 to 1 ? why is it getting a pump on AFC? | norbus
04/12/2014 11:16 | PHE's Munich plant to be commercially operative by end of March 2015, plus three test units (each up to 3 tonnes/day) commissioned for deployment in Asia, Europe and USA - the first to be demonstrated in Brisbane (Australia) in January of 2015, and the other two in H1 2015: Powerhouse Energy Group PLC Update on Munich facility and Proposed Deployment of Test Units 4th December 2014 PowerHouse (AIM: PHE) provides the following update in relation to its facility in Munich and the proposed deployment of test units. PowerHouse has commenced the second phase of re-engineering to move its 25 tonne per day unit located in Eiting, Germany, near to Munich Airport. It is anticipated that as a result of the modular design of the unit, this second phase, incorporating dismantling and relocation of the existing unit, should be completed by the end of December 2014. During the process of reengineering and commercialisation, the facility is being relocated approximately 500 meters from its current location and moved to what will be its long-term location at the waste transfer station operated by Wurzer Umwelt. PowerHouse anticipates that it will be able to demonstrate un-interrupted commercial operation of the Munich facility by the end of March 2015. The directors of the Company believe that the model of co-location of its facilities at industry leading, modern transfer stations operated by partners such as Wurzer Umwelt represents a significant opportunity for PowerHouse. Wurzer Umwelt has worked with Powerhouse in the formative stages of developing the PowerHouse Ultra High Temperature Gasification ("UHTG") technology and sees the value proposition of the Company's technology for the future. PowerHouse is also pleased to announce that as part of the overall strategy of commercialising the Company's technology, and reflecting the high demand for evaluation of the synthesis gas generated by the UHTG process, three test units (with a nominal capacity of up to three tonnes per day) have been commissioned for deployment in Asia, Europe, and the United States. The first of these units will be demonstrated in Brisbane, Australia, in January of 2015, with the others being delivered during the first half of 2015. The objective of deploying these test units is to provide a mobile, fully functional, containerised unit, capable of generating electricity through the use of the UHTG derived syngas. The Company believes that the ability to ship the demonstration unit to prospective customer sites for on-site testing of the actual feedstock that will be used for commercial operations is likely to be of significant benefit to PowerHouse in its discussions with potential customers. Requests for on-site testing have already been received from potential customers in the UK, mainland Europe and South East Asia (including significant interest in Australia.) Keith Allaun, Executive Chairman of Powerhouse, stated "We are pleased with the progress the Company has made with the ongoing move of the Eiting facility. In addition, we believe that the three test units will be of significant benefit to the Company in demonstrating the commercial benefits of the PowerHouse Waste-to-Energy solution." | new tech

04/12/2014 08:21 | holism we are agreed on your statement; It takes more than a CEO to make a great business AIM is littered with poor management, guys who have failed in larger companies driven by greed with an ego and over inflated view of themselves. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Science and innovation can, sometimes , improve our world; ;recovery of wasted energy is a big plus, and I wish AFC and all in that field success; however, it is such a complex field and suitable management developing new ideas are so few and far between in the UK, added to dearth of investment and fear of failure, makes it all too hard to match USA or Israel in this regard; GLA | norbus
04/12/2014 07:27 | Norbus- have you met the new CEO? I am told he is an excellent go getter and capable of driving this bus at a faster pace. The problem is always trying to find a CEO with the right credentials who is prepared to leave a senior position in a large proven organisation for an unproven one with all the risks of failure ahead of retirement.AIM is littered with poor management, guys who have failed in larger companies driven by greed with an ego and over inflated view of themselves. I thought Ian Williamson was a decent man and still hold that view but clearly he wasn't able to bind the company together and steer it successfully towards commercialisation. It will be interesting to see what changes are made.I did like the urgency of the press release and the decisive action taken by the board. Tinkering with Korea and the US was a smoke screen in my view. Lets hope the new focus will be the Power-up project with a backstop!! | holism
03/12/2014 12:01 | I personally have no doubts that PHE will succeed. Once such companies have sustainable revenues and customers lined-up, they can go for debt instead of placings. As you probably know, PHE will be generating revenues from the Munich plant from early 2015, making them financially self-suffficient - and they already have an array of prospective customers (e.g. in 2011, they named thirteen actual customers with projects valued at $130.5 million, and had another 120 prospects accounting for a total sales worth over $1 billion. Apparently there are at least 100 small waste to energy opportunities in Bavaria alone). PHE's CEO Keith Alaun (Oct 2014): "...exponential growth in revenues over the next few years is a complete possibility and well within our capability..." | new tech
03/12/2014 11:33 | Personally it would be better to reward personnel on results not just give them equity it cost them nothing and if they don't perform they have lost nothing. Only sales will save this company!!! NT...I was of the impression that RA did have a holding in PHE and would not put anymore in at the recent fundraising thats why share price bombed. RA is also heavily involved in VLS(GTL). | beeezzz
03/12/2014 09:36 | jamonit, yes, Linc have stakes in both AFC and PHE. Abramovich just in AFC. I think both will rise and PHE could give spectacular returns (50+ bagger potential being talked about). | new tech
03/12/2014 09:24 | Afc is a steal at these levels , onwards and upwards from here IMO . GLA | ride the wave
03/12/2014 08:09 | Actually, AFC have always kept management expenses comparatively low. Paying the new CEO partly in shares will help to save the company money, as well as incentiveising him to perform. If you want to see outrageous remunerations, look at SLE. I closed my SLE thread partly due to excessive salaries. AFC's Beta+ fuel cell due to be delivered to PHE's Munich site in early 2015. | new tech
