Fair point, but the effect on Joe Public and the near side avoidance of equities after the TMT bubble burst (as expected) concerns me!

There are many on FBB who have made pots of money too, PBB comparative to PBB is not neccessarily us and them, nor a sign of have versus have not, many no longer want to subscribe to PBB, not because of financial reasons, purely the posts are more informative on FBB on the underlying companies involved.

I am going to sleep on it, your point is in some respects a very good one.

As you've discovered, the PBB is populated mainly by short term traders who trade either on expected newsflow or on charts alone. I believe it to be the single best resource on the web for people who adopt that trading style. And there are many people there who really do know what they're doing.

There are a few fundamentalists on the PBB too, and it would have been good if your enthusiasm for mining had fired up some quality threads.

In the meantime, the PBB will be much adorned by your absence. Never mind. Good luck.

I can tell you have not had the displeasure of reading my posts before!

I would highly recommend that you take most things I post as one BB poster said "with a large dollop of salt", I am not exactly known for being a highly sensitive bunny!

Your point of view would have more credibility if it was presented as a balanced argument instead of mere invective.

I use both the free and premium boards. I post fairly infrequently but try to read as much as I can. Both boards have their value and quality posters exist on both boards.

The PBB is more community orientated. Many of the posters have met each other at the various functions which take place throughout the year. There is also a much greater willingness to help one another, both on stock related threads and on other general issues of interest.

On occasions I have started a thread which has not received a great deal of interest from others. When this has happened I have not got all bitter and twisted and started to slag off my colleagues on the bb.

If you had persevered a little longer then you would understand better what you are missing. I think that the PBB will learn to live without your incisive, articulated comment. It may be difficult but...
