Somero got serious with buybacks. We are close to £1m since the trading update. I hope that's reflecting confidence for good returns and can finally give the share price an uplift.

egg, I like that! TBH it happens quite often that the drop on ex-div is bigger than the div payment itself for most stocks.

I held SOM a few years ago and looked again at them yesterday. Their 2024 guidance is going to make it hard to see a wave of money coming in...

Somero is having hard time recovering from the drop of going ex dividend. It was best to sell before the ex div date and buy back at lower price. The benefit would have been greater than holding to cash the dividend.

I am holding here and have been since I bought at 230p in 2020. No reason to sell this. Take the dividend and forget about the stock.

Inflation Reduction Act, little to do with inflation, and a lot to do with protectionism. Hence the expectation that it will prompt a burst in the building of industrial infrastructure for re- shoring - though the evidence so far is mixed, with most activity occurring in northern Mexico to take advantage of the lower labour costs there, along with the favourable (zero) tariff regime.

Somero is a cyclical stock and plenty of investors stay away from cyclical stocks.

I don't think SOM is currently "significantly" underpriced. I reckon about 400p is probably fair price at the moment.

I wonder if I should top up at these levels. What to expect a leg up or another leg down? Hard to tell. The share price seems to be significantly underpricing the company.
