13/12/2021 11:11 | my post 162, nearly a month ago reflected a static lithium price for the previous month at Y 199,599/T and following a counter intuitive report in the USA that battery materials were in surplus, the SPs of lithium shares eased off everywhere, despite the knowledge that supply shortfalls are expected in coming years. Since then there has been another upwards inflection in the then flattening graph and prices are 8% up to Y 216,500 ie: by 8.5% - which, annualised, point to at least a doubling over 12 months, so the (geared) profits of mining must be much higher. ZNWD shares moved up six times before mid day today. I am looking forward to the response on Wall Street on opening at 2.30 and immediately afterwards. | scrutable
11/12/2021 21:21 | Yes the tide finally looks to be turning. Good call papillon. I've changed one of the header charts to be one year with volumes and moving averages. | bountyhunter
08/12/2021 13:56 | So Olaf Schulz takes over as German Chancellor today. The coalition he leads has ambitious plans to fight global change by phasing out coal early and focusing on renewable energy. Looking good for lithium and the EV market | gepetto100
07/12/2021 12:40 | Well I was correct. The share price dropped back to the 200 day EMA, before bouncing back up today. History has a habit of repeating itself. | papillon

18/11/2021 15:22 | I have been trying to explain to myself the current counterintuitive weakness in the SPs for ZNWD and EMH It looks like a speculative short sell crash today on Wall Street for Lithium shares, prompted by a bank report that the decline in demand for portable devices had slumped for CoVid reasons. My shares in Standard Lithium - likely to become the most significant indigenous supply source in the USA cratered today on opening. My guess is that the share price for STL will quickly reverse because of the scrarmble in industrial countries to ensure they are never held hostage by China in the future. However the lithium price is still rising continuously and the actual price of the metal is up again in China to an ATH at CY 197,500/T - that's 1,5% during November. The demand for EVs is rocketing compared with that for batteries used in portable devices. The following link on which I stumbled today tells me more about supply, demand etc and industrial strategies for Lithium consumers than I have previously accumulated over the year. I hope you find it useful: GLA | scrutable
