On the development stage ZNWD is at the DFS stage which is more advanced than the PFS stage applicable to most of its peers (see header or the July 2021 presentation)

That was me thinking ahead re potential German interest in ZNWD :)
The Germans may be a tad relieved that Ganfeng will now only end up holding ~10% rather than 35.5% of ZNWD (given the lithium interests on their soil!)

One final message from me (and I hold by the way and have since day one) The BCN mine isn't as advanced as ZNWDThis potentially (and I'm not a ramper by the way but seasoned investor) to equal the BCN price dependant on investor interestAlso - and a previous writer had alluded to this- the Germans are going to be very interested in any deal of this kind. They won't take kindly to Chinese on their soil . do look out fir them taking an interest

so for Ganfeng it's like buying a house, only to move in and find out that the previous owner has flogged all the fixtures and fittings?

So heres the question - with the BCN share in ZNWD being distributed to existing BCN shareholders at .24 shares per every 1 BCN share heldAs it includes Ganfeld what percentage do Ganfeld hold in ZNWDAnswers on a postcard

rimau, yes but the BCN price includes the risk factor that the deal does not go ahead in which case the BCN share price would drop back significantly, the current 'arbitrage' being equal to the market risk discount as is always seen when an offer for a company has been made but not concluded

The market has got this wrong, this will head back up.

There is still a very nice (almost) risk free arbitrage over at BCN. 0.24 of a Zin share for free as you can buy BCN at the cash offer price of 67p.

"Lithium rush in Zinnwald
The largest lithium deposits in Europe are located in the Eastern Ore Mountains. After years of exploration, they will soon be dismantled. A show mine is already feeling the boom. The raw material, which is so important for e-cars and smartphones, is also arousing desires in China."

Given their high level of car production you would think that the Germans would want to acquire ZNWD to own and mine the Lithium deposits on their own soil - I can't see them standing idly by if the Chinese were to put in a bid. Even if not the Germans then given the scramble for Lithium the days left for ZNWD as an independent company must surely be numbered?

New article just out, 1 hr ago, Wed, 25 Aug 2021
"Lithiumrausch in Zinnwald."-Freie Presse, 25.8.21
In English: "Lithium rush in Zinnwald."
Its about BCN-Zinnwald etc.

To read, call up the German title and Google will translate it into English.
Interesting coming at this time [RNS, 25 Aug 2021 Ganfeng offer for BCN which includes 0.2358 shares in Zinnwald for every 1 BCN etc]

Hadn't seen that FF as been out all afternoon, funny time for an RNS although maybe not in China! ...post removed :)
...0.23589 Zinnwald Shares + 67.5p cash is today's revised BCN offer, so if ZNWD rises then BCN would be expected to rise a little as a consequence. Also obviously there has been a very nice rise this afternoon in the BCN share price as a consequence of the revised offer news. Surely that is good for ZNWD as BCN has turned out to be worth significantly more than most thought yesterday!

As things stand, you can buy BCN shares in the market at 67p and get your Zinnwald shares for free, given that you’ll receive 67.5p in cash from Ganfeng in due course. So that weighs on the Zinnwald price a tad.An arbitrage opportunity of sorts i suppose.

Ganfeng won’t be entirely out of the loop because as a BCN shareholder they will be receiving Zinnwald stock. They could end up with around 10% of Zinnwald,a strategic investment but not enough to interfere in things.

Gangfeng now hold less than henry maxey. They do not call the shots.

Yep get that technical fly fisher, but i actually view this as positive. It takes gangfeng out of the equation, which reading between the lines, means they have been told to do one by the germans. Clears the path for at least a JV by an OEM like VW, which is very much in line with what i expected to happen given its location and strategic importance.

Tbh thinking on it more, this feels like it was probably the result of a reverse inquiry from the institutional holders like M&G to retain a much less diluted exposure to the znwd asset without having to buy in open market.

Hence I didn’t understand the sell off. Actually see this as uber bullish chess…

I'm not convinced BCN shareholders will sell their Zinnwald. On the contrary,it might prove a holding to which they will add.As a holder of BCN ,i'll wait to receive cash and Zinnwald shares to add to my existing holding.

BCN holding in ZWND is being distributed in specie, so a number of holders will probably be exiting.
