26/8/2022 08:51 | What I saw as potential was the Qatar information provided about Edge, with the world cup only months away it could turn out to be a one off bonanza. | clocktower
26/8/2022 08:48 | A bit too much video (examples of content from new acquisition) for my taste, but I agree it was another confident performance. | 1gw
26/8/2022 08:44 | Great presentation yesterday on investormeetcompany detailing the acquisition. Worth a listen. | slicethepie
08/8/2022 16:58 | You clearly have it in for Mark B! I don't understand your point about small shareholders, surely all shareholders are the same! IMO this was an excellent deal and the fact that it was done at such a tight discount is the best evidence. We have yet to see numbers on the combined entity but clearly as a bigger company it will be a more attractive t/o candidate at some stage. | slicethepie
08/8/2022 16:27 | Hi Clock - the ones I sold made a profit (small) The consolidation price was 80p - could revisit that! | toffeeman
08/8/2022 16:07 | Well done Toffeeman, it will be some time before the results of this become known, and Mark B has provided himself with a decent smokescreen until then. Did you mange to breakeven? Is this funding at a level below the consolidation price Toffeeman? | clocktower
08/8/2022 15:56 | I am just relieved I sold some before the raise - I think I will have a wait before I can shift the rest. Now below raise price to buy | toffeeman
08/8/2022 14:46 | This was just another vanity project for Mark B that keeps him in the high ranking salary earners but low on delivering for small shareholders. I am surprised that they managed to raise at such a small discount but we shall see how much they have overpaid, as I expect the shares will continue to go nowhere. In fact 1gw you seem to one of the few that could have bought some for less today but there are no takers even here it seems. | clocktower

03/8/2022 17:22 | Fantastic that they managed (conditionally) to raise £5m like that given current market conditions. What it is to have supportive shareholders; £2m put in by Herald. Less impressive contribution from the directors, but in aggregate they put in £85k. Retail only put in £37k as I read it, and some of that was from me (at least my instruction was accepted - formal allocation to be notified tomorrow). The issue for retail is that the first we heard about it was 7am this morning (if we were awake and reading RNS's) and the offer closed a few hours later (RNS at 12:30). So not much time to assess the opportunity and then perhaps decide what to sell to raise funds, even if we had an account with one of the participating brokers. The small apparent discount may also have been a factor with retail, although I hope the successful raise is soon reflected in an increased shareprice. Even with the limitations of the retail offer, I see it as a good thing at least to give a chance of participation on the same terms as institutions, for those nimble enough to be able to react. | 1gw
03/8/2022 08:05 | Sounds interesting. Impressive if they can get the placing (to fund the acquisition) away at such a relatively small discount to the current price. Feels from the interview as though the placing is all but a done deal, with a reference to other (big) institutional investors joining the journey at this point. | 1gw
03/8/2022 07:26 | Latest DT interview discussing the proposed acquisition of The Edge Picture Co Limited: | ga_dti
26/5/2022 09:14 | Agreed - Toffeeman. | clocktower
26/5/2022 08:00 | >> Clock Yes still in and getting towards b/e! I expect it to get marked up today and looking to see a break of 130 which I think is resistance | toffeeman
26/5/2022 07:13 | Still no talk about profit, it’s all about turnover and hiring more people. Directors lifestyle company to stroke their vanity only it seem to me. Still it would not surprise me to see the share price rise. Good luck if you’re still in Toffeeman. | clocktower
26/5/2022 07:10 | Short but sweet TU. All still on track. | 1gw
29/4/2022 11:09 | I think that's the strongest presentation I've seen from them. Didn't catch it all live yesterday, so just watched the replay. Very impressive, conveying a strong sense that they know what they're doing. | 1gw
22/4/2022 14:17 | Agree with Clocktower, I was hoping for more profit and am concerned with executive costs when the profit growth trajectory is so slow. I trimmed 25% today but the rest I'll sit on for another year or so as I'm optimistic margin will feed through (and I might even break even ;) ). As its content impact grows it could still be seen as an attractive acquisition target by distribution platforms needing more content quickly... | symbiote
22/4/2022 09:07 | 1gw, If you have more than a few thousand shares, I bet you will have trouble selling them at anything near £1.20 - then see what the market thinks. | clocktower
22/4/2022 09:01 | Better than lifestyle but no revenue. The results say absolutely nothing new which is why the share price has not moved. | toffeeman
22/4/2022 09:00 | revenue but no profit. lifestyle? anyone? | 2magpies
22/4/2022 08:20 | These things (rescue/turnaround) don't happen overnight clocktower. And there's been a pandemic which has played havoc with some of the plans. But having rationalised the business to improve margins and attracted in new talent to drive creativity and growth, the business is now well positioned to grow both revenue and profit as commissioning returns post-pandemic. | 1gw
22/4/2022 08:13 | Still losing money though 1gw - credit is only due when all stakeholders are rewarded and not before, as all the fluff is just window dressing to cover the greed and self worth, while drawing more than the Prime Minister - very much more. Since he has been in charge, how much has he and W.S drawn and how much money have shareholders assets deprecated? Take a look at the facts. Take a look at diluted earnings over the past couple of years, and look how bad that looks. EBITDA in H2 means nothing if the same follows be it in H1 or H2 - the result is a net loss for the year of over £1,000,000. Still you take your pick, hang on and live in hope or take profits (if you have any). Good Luck. | clocktower
22/4/2022 08:10 | I suspect if you have missed the doubling in the share price you would be a bit miffed ! As well as turning the business around Mark has pulled in some real top talent here that will drive growth going forward. | slicethepie |
