You clearly don't like or believe in this company, they are a cyclical company who have seen a big deterioration in business as a result of covid. They have taken out cost, restructured and should benefit as a consequence as volumes recover. Simples

While they expect to be profitable in H2 that will I expect still leave them with a big loss for the year, as they seemed to want to avoid pointing out the loss for the period and preferring to rely on the growth in revenue and the other possible contracts. However, there is a desire to get the share price up, which I think there may well be a very good reason for needing to do so. Beware this could still be loss making for the whole year. Time will tell but good luck if you get your timing right.

I will now, Buddy! As my parting shot,I'd advise you to give up investing and go back to your day job - smoking kippers. Any astute investor would have got down on there knees and thanked me profusely for giving him such valuable information on the "COMMISSIONING" m.o. of Zinc's potential funders. There's something very spiteful and mean-spirited about you...........

You can't even keep your word on a bbDear ZINC MEDIA GROUP shareholders. I'm signing out of this thread for good now. Please understand that I bear no grudge towards Zinc whatsoever. In fact, they did me a huge favour by treating my Company so unethically, as we've gone on to massively better things. I just felt a need to inform decent Shareholders to beware of a Public Company that treats its Partners unethically because, as sure as eggs is eggs, they're probably doing precisely the same to their Investors. Good Luck to you all - and Sayonara.......

Dear naive unsophisticated investors slicethepie & gw1: Let me give you some great advice - which I won't even charge you amateurs for: Google BBC COMMISSIONING, ITV COMMISSIONING, CHANNEL FOUR COMMISSIONING, ETC., and you will find very clearly defined requests for the type of programmes UK Broadcasters are looking to buy right now. "RETURNABLE SERIES" is frequently mentioned. Never pick a fight with your Betters, guys.......

Get Lost Fool. Nobody buys Dinosaur companies making meat & potato Shows. At least not for a price that will make you and your cohort GW1 any money. You should take "TRUE WISDOM" where you can find it, mate.....and I'm certain Goldmans would pay me for my astute advice. If they do, I'll send you 10% of the fee. It's more than you'll ever make from Zinc.

Such knowledge on valuation of companies is clearly wasted making meat tv progs may I introduce you to the corporate finance team at Goldman's. I am sure they would enjoy listening to your pearls of wisdom.

Addendum / Chaps, I need to respectfully educate you all on what actually "values" a TV Production Company - ☆☆☆; Its Creative Staff and their Ideas ☆☆☆; The value in returnable global sales of the Rights that Company owns. On both these aspects, Zinc fails beyond miserably. Their Creative Staff are at retirement age and Zinc do not make Global Returnable Series. Just the facts ma'am- just the facts........

I have a (very) small stake in Zin showing a loss of 50% atm. It is an investment I should not have made, but unlike some losers, I do think there is every chance of making a decent return in three year's time. Buyer's remorse perhaps!

It is not about optimism it is about valuation, this is a very cheap company in a sector seeing consolidation.

I wish you all the luck in the world, Graham. You deserve it for being Zinc's "NO.1" Cheerleader. It seems there's nobody else posting with such continuous optimism. I'm not being sarcastic here, mate. Hope you and everyone else on this thread make a mint!

Excellent presentation however the comment about having investors wanting to buy shares but unable should force them to give their broker singers a kick. They don't want to make a market in the stock preferring to operate a wide spread that deters both buyers and sellers.

Good communication again, as you'd hope from a media business. Interesting comments on liquidity of the shares, the support of the current major shareholders and the investors watching with a view to taking a position when liquidity allows. All heading in the right direction, it seems.

"With the underlying TV businesses becoming profitable, the newly launched businesses growing steadily, new revenue generating talent looking to join in H2 2021, the market recovery and the risk of Covid-19 subsiding, the future for the Group is stronger than it has been for many years." I'll take that.

I do. But there's now a massive demand for CONTENT. Where's this company's share of "Global" Commissions. I'll say it again, matey: "You cannot make real money in TV Production unless you're making GLOBAL RETURNABLE SERIES. End of. Why would anyone buy Zinc. They have nothing to offer Product-wise. Anyway, I'm just sayin' it like it is. Take it or leave it. Bon Chance, folks.......

Surely you must accept covid has had a major impact on this business? Management have taken out significant cost and if recovery happens then these improvements will fall through. The industry is also seeing consolidation so they could be taken out

So why has the share price been so continuously low every single time I look from month to month. I'm no expert in shares but I am an expert in "Television" and this company is way, way past its sell date. I'm only trying to support Clocktower and others who, it seems, can actually spot a "CON" when it's right in front of their eyes. Hey, I hope I'm wrong. I'd like nothing more than to see you all profit from Zinc. Myself, I don't own any of their stock......Again, GOOD LUCK to everyone🤞29310;🤞

I suspect you have never looked at the share register, some pretty good investors not least the largest herald Then again they make their living investing and finding value in the stock market and not posting on bbs.

1GW who I know personally as a great family man is totally unsuited to investing in equities. He is so easily taken in by these avaricious Directors. Zinc will never, ever be a company worth investing in. Broadcasters see them as old hat and completely out-of-touch. Roy Ackerman was a genius back in the day but now needs to concentrate on his allotment......

So 1gw - what do you think those figures will revel? What words of wisdom will flow from MB mouth when they do their next presentation? Will it all be about EBITDA and nothing about real profits,as I guess it is unlikely they will every transpire while the BoD draw such fabulously salaries.

The next bit of news is scheduled to be the Interim results, which should be followed by the IMC presentation on 1st October.

Couldn't resist responding to this, Chaps. Clocktower is, as always, spot-on. GW1 is, as always, optimistically well-meaning but completely, completely naive as to how the TV industry operates. As Clocktower so astutely points out: "What are the PROFITS on those 70 non-global Shows". Trust me - not that high!

Will then next bit of news be - ZINC'S CEO is rewarded with an even higher salary even though the company wins commissions but never talks about profits - Ah maybe there are none and more money will be needed to support these large commissions etc. I wonder what the cash burn is now?
