05/11/2017 09:09 | Good post from Sea7 on LSE. Might explain what is holding the share price back despite the current positive newsflow:- In the AR, it shows Novum securities as holding 9m shares on the 25th June. Novums annual accounts show a statement from the auditor that cast significant doubt as to Novums ability to continue as a going concern, as it was in breach of its externally imposed capital requirements as prescribed by the capital requirements directive iv as at 31st Jan 2017. Novum failed to sell itself to zeus capital and was looking at going under. Novum has found a new backer, borrowed off of it and then converted the loan to equity, thus returning itself within its tier 1 capital requirements as required by the FCA. Novum is now owned by Hyde Park Holdings, which has the ultimate controlling party of Epsilon Investments Pte Ltd, who held 5,192,105 shares in zenith in Feb of this year. As the recent AR from Zenith makes no reference to the Epsilon holding and they have not issued any further holding rns, after the last one in feb, after selling some stock, then we can assume that they have continued selling and are below 3%. Epsilon would now appear to have an indirect holding in zenith, from novums holding in zenith, by virtue of them taking over Novum, through Hyde Park Holdings. The question is, have they instructed Novum to sell off the holding in zenith to boost their cash pile and have epsilon finished. One other shareholder is Oliver Willett, who iiirc is a venture capitalist and private equity guy. How long he will hold for is anyones guess. Of course, none of these could have been selling recently, however, novum was having problems and as epsilon had in indirect interest in zenith through them, perhaps they felt over exposed to the one stock via both entities. | brasso3

02/11/2017 08:40 | Yes, a little more dilution at exercise price (8.8p), but it also helps to allay the need, thus share price pressure, you would normally witness in a fundraising/begging- Cash | cashandcard
02/11/2017 07:06 | More money in the bank! But probably not so good as they'll be more shares floating around depressing the share price Not for long though hopefully! | aggieuk

01/11/2017 09:13 | cpap, Reads well, but the lease arrangements need to be explained. | andy
01/11/2017 09:09 | Great news - new drilling. The only extra I could add to that would be a 3D survey to properly map the field and its reservoirs, so they can optimise drill locations. Cash | cashandcard
01/11/2017 08:20 | Zenith Energy (ZEN.L, 11.12p) – Speculative Buy Zenith has announced it has signed a commitment letter to acquire a new drilling rig. It will be custom built for Zenith and delivered in 2H18, after which we expect development drilling to begin. Zenith has 32m barrels of 2P reserves in Azerbaijan and this new highly automated rig will mean Zenith has some of the best and safest drilling equipment available. Our view: It is good to see Zenith moving towards development drilling in 2018 and with an excellent drill rig. We don't fully understand the finance arrangement with the rig supplier but the RNS states that it is a "unique lease arrangement that aligns Zenith's targeted growth plans and cash flows with its future equipment requirements". Presumably Zenith has agreed a structure to minimise dilution and maximise Zenith shareholder returns. We look forward to continuing successes from the current workover programme and then drilling in 2018. We reiterate our Speculative Buy recommendation. 01/11/2017 07:58 | 100p is only £100m mkt cap. Hardly unrealistic once they achieve 1000 BOPD. | brasso3
01/11/2017 07:51 | Great indicator of how much this operation is going to grow next year. No wonder the CEO talks of ZEN share price at 100p in eighteen months. | someuwin
01/11/2017 07:42 | O/t EME RNS. Excellent news, they know its going to flow imo! This will now build and build over the coming days. 50p+ target inbound? | timw3
01/11/2017 07:40 | Does sound from the blurb like they'll be less reliant on drill crews. That can't be a bad thing, I can go for that. A case of less monkeys more monkeyboards. | bad gateway
01/11/2017 07:11 | Shudder to think how expensive that rig is, but check out the website and look at the time saving, 1.5 m a second!!! Conventional rigs .5-.6m a second! We will be drilling fast and safe with no worker intervention! Those holes will be drilled mega fast! | aggieuk |
