26/10/2017 12:19 | Given the statements below, this should be leading to a future reserves increase imo ie additional identified payzones 6/10/17 "Zenith's petroleum engineers have identified additional pay zones in well C-21 that present strong prospects for oil production once perforated and tested". 10/10/17 "is now flowing at an increased rate of 35 BOPD following the identification of an additional 7.8 metres of unexploited pay zones that have been perforated" 20/10/17 "Zardab is a young, *hugely unexploited* field with original high reservoir pressure" | zengas
26/10/2017 12:11 | from Beaufort in Feb, posted by SI on lse "Zardab opportunity The Zardab Field is approximately 100km2 and the reservoir a porous sandstone at an average 3,000m depth. Zardab has only produced 10,000 barrels of oil from one well despite its potential to be a very significant and profitable field. Although 18 wells have been drilled there, of the five that produced, two were small, one is still producing 20 years later and two failed after a short time online due to sand plugging i.e. the vast majority of the oil reserves remain in the ground" Cash | cashandcard
26/10/2017 12:06 | Aerial extent only really comes into play if you're trying to pick up the Archers in the sticks | thegreatgeraldo
26/10/2017 12:03 | tgg, Aerial extent of closure can be a good indicator, when other parameters line up aswell. Cash | cashandcard
26/10/2017 11:58 | cashandcard 26 Oct '17 - 11:54 - 1017 of 1017 0 0 It is never all about aerial extent. It's never about aerial extent!!! Ever. | thegreatgeraldo
26/10/2017 11:54 | Regarding the Zardab field, if Beaufort Securities (newly appointed broker) are to be believed, 100km2 aerial extent, is indicative of a substantial resource base. Brent was about 65km2 and Gulfaks in the 50's km2. One must point out, there are many other factors at play like payzone, TOC saturation, reservoir properties/character It would be interesting to know some other reservoir specific parameters about Zardab. 26/10/2017 11:50 | Tks for info guys | luckymouse
