It *could* be a huge opportunity to buy at a historically low price, but the current shareprice also making it very very painful for Zanaga to raise cash by a normal placing or open offer...

Also we don't know how supportive the old co-founders are to throw in a lifeline. Mr Haworth clearly isn't interested in retaining his stake.
Ho hum...
I'm holding still.
Time will tell.

wow.. I must confess that I did not expect to be back at these levels.
Incredibly weak!

I guess this is still Seritza selling below their 3% holdings come what may.

This period would have been the moment for the directors to snap up substantial amounts of the freefloat if they really were expecting a buyer/re-rating anytime soon. (assuming they're not being in a "closed period" of course)

I think they are quickly running out of runway and this corona malarkey hasn't helped for sure. Either way they'll need cash imminently to keep the lights on, lets see how excited they really are to put some on the table....
Onwards and ... eh..
anyway; onwards!

The BOD are doing it, read the last RNS ffs. Chances are, zioc will be sold before money is needed to be raised. Forget the current sp, meaningless.

This is ugly but there's a pretty good chance it'll get worse before it gets better. The zioc narrative is being suffocated by a large seller and the need to raise working capital. It's difficult to consider taking a position whilst those issues are in play.

I've been very critical and cynical about the lack of progress at Pointe Noire, but it would seem that our man Gilbert Mokoki is delivering some progress on the SEZ acreage. And this would seem to include shovels in the ground. (albeit to demolish buildings, but shovels nonetheless!

Here is the English version:
(Original French link: hxxp://www.adiac-congo.com/content/domaine-public-demolition-des-batisses-situees-dans-la-zone-economique-speciale-112133)

Public domain: demolition of buildings located in the special economic zone
Thursday January 30, 2020 - 2:50 p.m.

Gilbert Mokoki, Minister of Special Economic Zones, and Pierre Mabiala, Minister of Land Affairs and Public Domain responsible for relations with the parliament proceeded, on January 28, to the destruction of the houses located in the grip of the special economic zone ( SEZ) of the ocean city.

After the procedure of expropriation for reasons of public utility followed by the fair and prior compensation operation for the purchasers of land located in the Pointe-Noire SEZ as required by law, the demolition of all the erected works been performed in the start area. This operation will make it possible to develop the Pointe-Noire SEZ which covers 27.90 km 2

In fact, to date 598 purchasers of land have been expropriated for an amount of 6,571,048,303 FCFA on a freed area of 85 ha “Our work this morning consisted in demolishing and making available to the SEZs an area of 33 ha. The operation has started with this start-up area and will continue in other areas. It allows the state to take possession of the vacated land , " said Minister Pierre Mabiala.

It is an operation which proceeds smoothly, added the minister Gilbert Mokoki, since everything was settled beforehand as wanted by the developer. It is already a step towards the development of this area, he rejoiced before congratulating the appreciable work done by the agents of the engineering battalion of works who lead the operation. " The President of the Republic, supreme chief of the armies, instructed the Minister of Defense that a construction engineering battalion be assembled. Given that we have a school of engineering works which trains qualified personnel in the operation of vehicles, the Ministry of Special Economic Zones has therefore trained 25 students in this school, whose sample has received its certificate from the managers present during the operation. We are delighted since the engineering works can work for the needs of the nation and at lower cost. We dare to hope that this example will be used for other works for the needs of the nation, ” he added.

After the delivery of elementary technical certificates of public works to the twenty-five agents of the ministry of the SEZ, the minister Mokoki hammered : "You must apply yourself in the conduct of this operation since the ministry of the Special economic zones put means to pay this formation. And you are going to work with the engineering officers for the success of this operation that the developer expects . ”The delegation then went to the extension area to be fitted out after the fair and prior compensation operations.

Note that the Pointe-Noire SEZ is based on the port-industry-city model. The aluminum manufacturing plant by electrolyte treatment of bauxite, the ferro-alloy plant by using iron and manganese metallurgy, the large-capacity petroleum refinery, without forgetting the water plant production capacity of at least 200,000 m 3 per day, the natural gas power plant of 1,500 MW of capacity, the multi-function quay at the Pointe-Noire Autonomous Port constitute, among other things, the activities that will be established there . Once completed, the Pointe-Noire SEZ will generate seventy-eight direct jobs and will eventually house one hundred and twenty-five thousand inhabitants.

"either one large holder is selling, or placing is coming ..."

Why not both? Seritza are dumping millions of shares in a falling market. Clearly they are not expecting this to be £3+/share anytime soon.
And placing? well.. yes, no other option, is there? they cannot afford to go all the way to zero, so expect some form of raising imminently. Placing? maybe, open offer more likely. perhaps a directors loan (less likely, but equally possible from Elphick)
Either way I'm not concerned. If I had more available funds I'd be topping up at these prices.
Only concerns I have are external risks, corruption, government instability, glencore etc.... We are very very small sitting on 49.999% of something very big... like a fly on a dragon's hoard. Now we just need someone strong to slay the dragon (take the risks, build the port, railway, slurry pipeline etcetc) and still honour the fly's stake to the claim..
We need a valiant hero, a Knight in shining aromour... Glencore is more of a couch potato at the moment...perhaps COIDIC?
Time will tell...
