14/5/2020 10:26 | It makes no sense, the vaccine is now on the back boiler, it won't happen, I wonder why? Gates is under investigation and Witty and our Health Minister are in with Gates, Matt contributed $31 million, they don't want to go down with the sinking ship. Hope all goes well... | gismo

06/5/2020 21:54 | Maybe someone knows if the joint company has been created yet? (China-Congo JV?) Zhou Chao and Gilbert Mokoki are the two officially in charge, but I have precious little details available on timelines and current status. As far as I understand the next required steps from the Congolese side are: 1. to start training of local labour. (started 2019) 2. complete the expropriation process (started early 2020) 3. free up 8.2KM2 (started-ish, see above) 4. and construction of a local gas fired powerplant in the SEZ.(not started AFAIK) All the feasibility studies and planning has been done since many years back, so even with modifications along the way I assume this is well completed by now. One repeating theme is that representatives from the 2 countries have met various times to explain publicly how past delays with the SEZ are in the past and that this time it will be speeding up.... years later here we still are. sure it's moving, but at Glacial speeds... 06/5/2020 12:14 | while we wait for our own updates, I find this is good inspiration: and; Edit: Another good point to why Fortescue needs to take this crisis opportunity to diversify and control new sources (or why China will/should as seen with Simandou) Edit2: for those that missed it in Feb, here is a clip of the ZES ministers playing with some diggers north of Pointe Noire ( Not exactly the required $BN operation in motion, but def making the right sounds. I'm not convinced any work has followed after the media show though... time will tell. (and failing media reports satellite images are pretty clear although a couple of months behind events on the ground) This effort follows the previous visit by COIDIC in 2017. So its all lining up, even if it's at glacial speeds....( GL, GTA | gta5

05/5/2020 09:56 | 1st resistance here is 9.45 and then 10.44 for the 2nd resistance pointLooks like it's trading between the two at the moment but a little more buying pressure should see us get above 10pHere's hoping | catchingmice
05/5/2020 09:04 | Can we break 10p today it's looking promising from open this morning | catchingmice
04/5/2020 09:56 | Hi Extrader, I think you're right that the Feral Squirrel Association is unlikely to take any relevant action on AIM ever (or anywhere else for that matter), but at the same time I don't think Trahar would put himself in a position where he could be accused of bending any rules, especially by very publicly linking to an interview online with very little obvious gain for anyone. Hence my conclusion that FGM is unlikely to be in any serious talks with ZIOC leadership. (as much as I would have liked that!) I think MM blocked me around the time I was trying to explain on the LSE board that 12p was a likely baseline and that 25p and later 40p were ambitious goals.... obviously got called a deramper and shouted down. But yes, I can see that we have some colourful characters in the ZIOC boards, a surprisingly large Brexit flag waving crowd, something I find very disturbing for obvious reasons. But hey, I find that in the current times ZIOC is as good a bet as any and the 1 in 10 chance that it will actually "pay off" is looking mighty good next to the likes of Easyjet or BA, Hyatt or Marriott etc with a "50-50" if they'll even survive past the next months. Admittedly if the big world companies and their wider economies start falling like dominoes there is little hope for anything to be built in Zanaga for many decades to come, but I get ahead of myself! Lets see if there is anything in the RNS pipeline, we don't need much to rise if Seritza is finally out.... Here's to hoping, GL, GTA. | gta5
04/5/2020 09:45 | Guys have a look at pxc, while we are waiting here | milliecusto
02/5/2020 10:00 | Afterthought : Mind you, with the war of words between Oz and China over latter's handling of coronavirus issue, Oz companies may be less welcome as partners overseas. So you could be right re Coidic being the only game in town... A propos, if you check out MM on twitter, you'll see that he's now highlighting all the BRI debt issues challenging China in Africa. How times change ;-> ! ATB | extrader |
