I've been looking at these Thorpematt and look decent value here I suspect. Falling copper price helps most of these co's imo.

XD next week (March 12) so will buy before then if I do.

TTG, VLX, PFL etc might all start sounding more positive going fwd with cheaper copper imo, which will help the sector imo

All imo

Most analysts targeting £18 ish as fair value. My calculation is nearer £17 since I have applied a modest growth profile.

Yield at 4% of course so a nice hold with good yield and modest capital growth IMO.

The Juggler - "Broker targets - well they are something else in my opinion"

They have a different agenda to the poor PI's ha ha. I try to ignore them nowadays. XPP will be constrained for some time since almost all their customers are large multinationals, and they (The multinationals) are dependant on a pick up in demand across Europe, Far East, Japan, IMO it's comming but will be slow, can right off this year but 2016 might be better (Ever the optomist ha ha)

Very muted reaction to the annual results today. Pays a good dividend and the figures look pleasing enough. Broker targets - well they are something else in my opinion although I would be delighted to see 1900p. Once this breaks above 1600p and moves ahead anything is possible. It has been trading in the 1400-1600 range long enough now!

denbos - I was corrected the other day regarding FTSE100 cos. and MM's but when you come down to the smaller fish the MM's do move the spread around to suit themselves.

Look at today, as at 10:53 no sellers all buyers (apart from one which ADVFN has decided is unknown, but that's just computers making a hash of things ha ha)

Thats what happens when you wait for 1600 you find its on 1515 haha.

The spread is the telling tale. Big spread no sellers.

been adding a number of times before the spike in small batches, nice to see some reward. pretty stubborn resistance at 1600 so would be nice to break through that before adding further.

Let's hope it can rise above and remain above 1600p next week!

Well I'd call that a breakout from the recent range. The share price has really struggled to close above £15 for some weeks.

I regard XPP as a very strong company and worthy of much higher forward PER particularly when you consider the global opportunity for growth and the progress the company has made (fed by its own cashflow) in recent years.

Yes a very nice long term hold for me. They owe me nothing, the dividend has given me back my original investment twice over and I look forward to receiving that dividend for many years to come.

Yep, very solid.

Yield is circa 4% of course. Given that the factory costs have all been paid for WITHOUT debt and given that cash surplus is still being produced and margins are improving what we have here is an extremely strong performance.

Those things I've listed above are nearly always missing in PLCs (many of which are funded on debt and a lack of real cash conversion).

The outlook is of course linked to global economics and europe in particular looks to be struggling. I'd say QE is overdue now. I recognise that dropping oil price is creating deflationary pressure BUT that aside the EU is turning into Japan. It needs stimulus and that could come on Jan 22nd. I think Greece needs to go and the ECB needs to print.

Now if you think about bond yields and finding a place to put your money XPP is IMV a nice hold.
