i don't see the point in a share consolidation to be honest

I bought in 2003 and added in 2008/9. I sold the majority in the low 20's but have held my original 1500 share purchase to this day. It has been a great investment, very happy to hold and take the now amazing divi but maybe a takeout at £45.00 beckons? Anyone think a share consolidation might increase investor interest, for a company with a stand out track record like this one this is a surprisingly quiet board. A happy holder ;o)

Bought for the first time this morning. Still look very reasonable value given the growth. Shame I didn't do so several years ago :-)

They always have a big forward pipeline of R & D and as soon as the suppliers launch the products that have been developed with XPP designed in then its sit back and watch the money being printed. Added a few more this am as well as in the last few weeks. Always been a happy hunting ground and one to hold for the long term with a fairly decent dividend to boot. Plenty more to come especially if this acquisition pans out well

The second ahead statement in the last few months; analysts have seriously underestimated the growth at XPP - quality company.

yes well done to XPP an under the radar share that has consistently performed, by far my biggest holding now. I almost get back in divi each year what it originally cost me to buy them. How I wish I had put more in over the years ;0)

"We are delighted to welcome Comdel to the XP Power Group and are excited about the opportunity of offering its complementary product range through our global sales channel. The Acquisition will enable us to provide our existing customers with a comprehensive product offering in RF power, a market segment with robust demand fundamentals but one in which we did not previously specialise. We are confident that Comdel will have a very successful future as part of XP Power." "the next phase of our development"?

Interesting that he's not a replacement but has been brought in presumably to execute an M&A strategy. Ex-FD Jonathon Rhodes is remaining with the group.

Duncan Penny, CEO, said: "Gavin's wide-ranging financial, commercial and M&A experience, gained within a number of international businesses, will be an asset to XP in the next phase of our development. We look forward to welcoming him to the Group."

Directors of XPP have generally been sellers (of their options) over the past few years, at 1600p-1700p in 2014 and 2015 and at 2400p earlier this year. I don't think too much should be read into it as it hasn't effected operational performance in the past. The order book suggests £90m may be achieved in H2 whereas the market appears to be expecting £75m so a good chance of outperformance in H2 imo.

Director sales are often intiated by their IFA advising them to lock in some of the profits, particularly if they still have decent size holdings or options. This is quite common in my experience from directors of businesses whom i have contact. I did top slice a little my self around that time as XPP was taking too significant a weighting in my portfolio but i've bought them all back, and more, on the day of the results. The weighting risk is worth taking imv. Anyway we'll see where they go from here but they're already ahead of my buy price. £30 doesn't look unreasonble from here. woody

Great to see XPP experiencing some fundamental forces for growth rather than just relying on favourable FX.

maybe they just wanted to cash in on there hard work or maybe they thought the market as a whole had got ahead of itself and there would be a correction in which case all shares get hammered I'm not a great follower of directors deals they can be very misleading

Doesn't seem like there is an answer in today's figures! Very nearly followed their lead but glad I didn't!
